The blue inflatable armchair in the swimming pool wasn't probably on sale when Max was a child.

When Maximillian as a child selects from the various vintages of wines, he chooses 1983, which would make him closer to 35 years of age in present day, not the 45 or so that he appears to be.

Max uses a Palm Treo 600/650, which cannot do video teleconferencing.

When Christie Roberts finds the scorpions in her window in the morning, Madame Duflot races to her aid with a whisk broom.

When she gets there, she starts hitting the scorpions with a fly swatter.

Max plans his date with Fanny for Sunday night- on the day of the date we see his assistant Kenny losing a lot of money trading on the bond markets in London which are of course closed on a Sunday! Max asks his cousin Christie where she got the "Halston" at the Duflot's dinner party.

The dress she wears in the scene is actually made by modern day Los Angeles cotton manufacturer American Apparel.

When Max is playing tennis at La Siroque, the sound that the tennis racquets make does not correspond with the type of old racquets they have.

The sound is from a modern tennis racquet.

Fanny Chenal's eyes are blue (and quite striking) as an adult, but the little girl that plays her has brown eyes.

When Max gets to the D3 needing Gemma's help, he is less than 40km from his meeting with the Notaire Auzet.

When he gets to the intersection he is facing south and the sun is to his left, meaning it is morning and his appointment was for the afternoon, giving him plenty of time to arrive at his destination.

We are shown him by a tree telling Gemma to reschedule and this would not have been necessary.

It is constantly suggested that Max works in 30 St.

Mary Axe, one of London's best known recent buildings designed by Norman Foster, which has a radial plan with a strong diagonal diagrid frame wrapping the exterior wall.

The interior shots of the firm take place inside a standard rectilinear office building with regular columns.

(See _Basic Instinct 2 (2006)_ (qv) for scenes that appear to have been filmed inside 30 St.

Mary Axe.

) The sunburn marks on Christie Roberts do not match the bikini she was wearing at the pool.

The orange marks and seeds from the tomato on Max's shirt varies throughout scenes.

When Fanny is knocked off her bike, she falls on her back.

Later she shows him her bruise, but it is on her right thigh.

The critics/reviews and IMDb rating don't do justice to A Good Year, in my opinion. What's there not to love?

One of my favorite movies of all timesFirst of all, Max is a classic trader, brilliant, wealthy and arrogant, it provide he a great sense for business and trade money. Smart he know how to play with the market.

What one wouldn't give to own a vineyard in south-eastern France. What one wouldn't do to spend an evening with a beautiful French girl.

First things first - don't go by the rating for this one. Read the plot summary and decide for yourself if this one is your type.

This reminds me of the magical Sunday afternoon 15 years ago when I watched "Under the Tuscan Sun" for the first time on my big screen and first audiophile sound system. This being a Sunday afternoon too, it makes me long for another Sunday afternoon and not the hectic Monday I know is coming.

Don't read the reviews most of the critics had written on this one-it's a film full of joy, smiles and sunshine!)The main location is simply beautiful(somewhere in Provance),the cast is all so wonderful(especially,Marion Cotillard)and Ridley Scott,as always, does an incredible job.

Ask me my favorite movie and I will not hesitate with this one. I keep coming back to this movie every time I need a little visual inspiration.

I read the IMDb reviews before watching this. It seemed like a film that wasn't for everybody, but could be really sweet.

I am talking first about the surroundings. I am impressed by the way how the French country side has been depicted in the movie.
