An army group are thrown together with the aim of preventing the Japanese from crossing a bridge in the Philippines during WW2. Sergeant Robert Taylor heads this small unit and we watch to see how many of his troop of 13 soldiers survive.

The "War Double Feature" DVD copy I saw was of good quality. As indicated elsewhere the choice, scope and portrayal of different ethnic background to characters was way, way ahead of it's time and a remarkable achievement, but not without cost to the studio at the time.

A rip roaring war movie from 1943. 13 soldiers from different sects of the military (one is a navy man, another is a pilot) must hold the line in Bataan (a village in the Philippines) before the Japanese army overwhelms them.

This WWII movie wasn't what i would call spectacular, but it was decent enough as war movies go.it's about as subtle a being hit over the head with a sledge hammer.

Great War film of my youth. Robert Taylor's best film.

I first saw this movie when I was a young teen and remember almost shaking with excitement. It was early in the war and obviously a propaganda film.

What is it with you people i just don't understand.Everyone is saying Robert walker was annoying and its pure bull.
