Slow paced but enjoyable psychological thriller. It's not a horror if that's what you're expecting.
Stupidest movie I've wasted my time watching in a long time! How did she get out?
In reading the public reviews I find that people come in two basic modes. #1 the group that compare everything to Spiderman and mega-budget productions who can only note that the film is "slow" or "boring".
I liked this movie. It's a decent thriller set in Germany (the part that used to be East Germany) in which a young female tourist from Australia is kidnapped and held hostage by a charming psycopath she meets along the way.
Yes, the wonderful John Fowles novel and excellent film adaptation with Terrance Stamp, was immediately evoked as I began watching this film. Indeed, so many leaps in plot (how/where to they meet after she goes home the first night how does Franca unlock the apartment door?
It is an interesting film. No known actors.
An Australian girl backpacking in Germany alone is lured into a local stranger's apartment...and can't get out!
As I went through the movie... I thought I would b jumpscared atleast at one scene...
