Beyond the Reach

Really impressed. Good script, beautifully shot, good score.

Obviously, a lot of the people who write IMDB user reviews are idiots. You might think I'm one of them and you may be right.

Maybe the worst movie I've seen in past 10 years. Expected it to get meaningful and make sense but it did not.

So, an obscenely wealthy,outrageously self-obsessed and thoroughly unlikeable guy who drives a ridiculously expensive, ugly and faintly laughable RV across a bleak desert in search of "big game" engages a young and impoverished guide to point him in the direction of his intended prey. Shockingly early in the movie and before we have really assimilated this premise, something happens which follows standard dramatic lines, i.

I read the description in the cable TV guide and knew the whole plot. It is so corny I enjoyed it just to see how they developed it.

Michael Douglas is OK as an actor but this movie should be called Beyond Stupid. Several times the movie becomes unbelievable.

This was a really horrendous film, poorly directed by a third-rate director. Jeremy Irving did a credible job with the little bit that he had to work with.

I mean Michael plays some dark angel of death in the latter half and in the beginning he plays a business savvy sociopath with zero feelings, not much of a stretch but really parallels the dichotomy very well. I guess you really have to be an insensitive jerk to really enjoy having either one of those characteristics define your persona.

Would have been a great movie with Michael Douglas, but the hunted "guide" was way too stupid to live through that.For one thing, as a guide he should have known the area giving him the advantage.
