Biutiful

In the scene where there are three dead boys lying, the hands of the middle boy changes in between shots.

In the scene with the three dead boys, as people are filing out while Uxbal stands at the door, the foot visible in the coffin nearest the door moves.

It's a very boring drama. Heavy use of drugs, nudity and other things makes this movie disgusting instead of beautiful.

I usually love to express myself, others could say, have said, to hear myself talk. Yeah, guilty, I guess, I like to think that I'm entertaining people, maybe stimulating their perceptions.

I thought there were several very impressive movies, The King's Speech, Toy Story 3 and The Social Network being just three of them. Although Bardem and the idea appealed to me, I actually wasn't expecting Biutiful to be this good.

This movie is one of the finest (and most harrowing) emotional cinematic journeys I have ever experienced. The opening two scenes raise so many questions which are answered by the juxtaposition of the final two scenes in a wonderful (and surprising) manner.

So it seems that this title hasn't been received all too well by critics or the general public alike, but for the life of me I can't see why.From the tremendous use of framing and shot composition, to the outstanding acting and pacing, Biutiful is one of the most underrated films I have ever had the pleasure of seeing.

My favourite movie from one of the best contemporary directors, maybe the best.

Biutiful is a weird film. It presents the story of a man dying by cancer that tries to solve his life and of his children as well, before his inevitable death.

Alejandro González Iñárritu's "Biutiful" looks at a world of contradictions, and how people try to live their lives in such a world. Javier Bardem plays Uxbal, a man in Barcelona who procures illegal immigrants: Chinese people who work in a factory and Senegalese people who sell the wares.

What if you were confronted with the time of our death? Would it be a boon or a curse?
