During the scene at the doctor's office the assistant is wearing blue gloves on both hands.

She hands equipment to the doctor and in the next shot, from a different camera angle, the assistant suddenly isn't wearing any gloves.

When Cindy is in the waiting room leaving the doctor's office after changing her mind, there is a brand new Ford SUV visible through the storefront window.

At the end of the movie when Dean and Cindy are fighting at her dad's house it is clear outside when they enter and leave the house, but pouring rain is seen through the back window.

All the cars driven by the actors had Pennsylvania license plates on the front.

That is inaccurate, since in Pennsylvania you only get one license plate, which goes on the back.

After the argument at Cindy's workplace, Dean's necklace is visibly broken with the chain hanging down the front of his shirt.

In the next shot, the necklace is intact again.

In the beginning of the film, when Dean goes outside to look for the dog with Frankie, he takes his cigarette out of his mouth, puts Frankie down and the next shot the cigarette is back in his mouth.

When Cindy runs through the sprinkler at her dads, she turns back and her shirt is not wet.

The shot goes to Dean and then comes back to her and her shirt is wet.

During a 'past' flashback when Dean and Cindy are outside the Boutique store, the camera focuses and moves with Cindy, while that's happening, a car drives by and being a night scene, the headlights from the car briefly illuminates both Cindy and the Cameraman's shadow on the background wall.

(at around 54 mins).

This was my first viewing. After watching Blue Valentine (2010) I feel both saddened and slightly empty.

As I went to sit and watch Blue Valentine, I had somewhat high expectations. I had already seen The Place Beyond The Pines, which is done by the same director (Derek Cianfrance).

I saw this movie after finding that it has got a good rating in IMDb. Movie has got a great story which is realistic .

This is the first time I've been compelled to right a review on IMDb but I felt so bemused and angered by this film and the reaction it has got. My focus is the acting that has been so heralded.

The worker of the Steinway Moving & Storage Dean (Ryan Gosling) meets the medicine student Cindy (Michelle Williams) and falls in love with her. Cindy has a personal problem with her boyfriend and the sooner she gets married with Dean.

This film is not as great as Cianfrances next film Pines but it is still great. The performances are very real.

Blue Valentine is one of those films that really get to you, you think about it, and you wonder 'why?'...

Well, I have to say that this is the worst romantic-drama movie I have ever seen. The characters are not developed (over all the husband's psychology).

You can see both parties fault. Dean lacks any ambition and is very childlike.
