In the opening sequences, Marti is sitting on the right side of the car looking out the window.

When it cuts to show her viewpoint of the moon and passing trees, the perspective is as if she were on the left side of the car.

Well, for an loose continuation, I will say that the movie actually turned out to be good, interesting and fresh. Especially for a remake, because the writers did change enough of the setting to make it worthwhile and interesting, while keeping the core essential of the storyline intact.

~Spoiler~Body Snatchers is the second attempt at updating Jack Finney's classic tale for a new generation. Let me preface this review by saying both the original film and the 70's remake are haunting pieces of cinema.

This film is not 100% garbage but it's not a good film - it's is bad though. The only thing I like about this film are 3 actors: Meg Tilly, Forest Whitaker and R.

In this remake of a classic, they used Bad Lieutenant and King of New York director Abel Ferrara, and cast the young beauty Gabrielle Anwar (The Librarian: Return to King Solomon's Mines) and "thirthsomething" Terry Kinney in the leads.Kinney went on to do The Laramie Project later and was fantastic.

The EPA sends Steve Malone (Terry Kinney) to a military base in Alabama for a month. He brings along his daughter Marti (Gabrielle Anwar), his second wife Carol (Meg Tilly) and their son Andy.

Okay, so we've all seen the 1950's and 1970's versions of 'Invasion of the body Snatchers' - If you are hoping for something a little better then I'm sorry to say that you won't find It here! This sad affair Is quite blatantly a Rip-off of the aforementioned Movies and to make matters worse......

The second remake of the sci-fi classic Invasion of the Body Snatchers is decent but nowhere near as good as the original or the 1978 version. Part of the problem lies in the story's familiarity.

I liked this version, but we don't know how/where the pods originated, when and where the father and the son got snatched. The ending was sufficiently ambiguous.

You may wonder - how is a remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers by Abel Ferrara, the director of Driller Killer and Ms. 45 any good?
