While they're having dinner, Johnston spears several carrots on his fork, nudging one off the edge of the plate and onto the table.

In the next shot, it's gone.

When the covers of Carmen's books are shown, one misspells "Enlightenment" as "Enligtenment.

" When Don speaks with the receptionist at Dr Markowski's office, the angle of the laptop relative to the table changes repeatedly between shots.

The blue rental car that Murray drives to the farmhouse has different style wheels than the car that Murray wakes up in after being beat up.

Around the 1hr mark of the film, after Don gets off the plane and is driving over the bridge, his sunglasses appear on, then the camera angle changes and the sunglasses are off, then on again at the next camera angle change, with no indication that he had taken them off As can be evidenced by the symbols on the airport signs (the letters A, B, and C, individually, are in the center of rounded triangles, designating sections of the airport) Newark Airport (NJ) was used for each of the airport scenes, although Murray's character was supposedly going to many different places in the US.

(at around 1 min) During the scene where Winston goes back with the pink letter to Don's home, after he turns down the volume he sits down we can see the lampshade on the side table changing position to the next scene when the pink letter is on the table in front of Don's couch.

This can be seen on the profile shots of Don and the lampshade on the background relative to unchanged camera angles.

In all of the driving scenes, the windshield sticker is always from New Jersey - even though he's flying between locations.

Broken Flowers Retrospective.I have now watched this film ten times and remained awake on all occasions.

Broken Flowers (2005)Is this a Jim Jarmusch movie or a Bill Murray movie? Maybe unfortunately, it's more Jarmusch (the director), but Murray holds his own in that Bill Murray way.

A man receives an anonymous letter informing him he is the father of a 19-year old son, so he sets off on a journey to visit his old girlfriends to see which one wrote the letter.Bill Murray stars in this movie which is, at times, funny, pathetic, and shocking but mostly just boring.

Broken Flowers, winner of the jury prize at the Cannes film Festival of 2005. A well deserved prize for a stunning film reflecting on the fleeting character of life: "tout passe, tout lasse, tout casse...

Among the several thousand of flowers growing around the world, it is one that neither impresses with its beauty, nor attracts with their scent. Because the flower is so special that it lives out all his life in just one day.

I spent an evening watching this!! I feel so ripped off by the IMDb reviewers who gave this movie a a good rating.

Saw this based on a recommendation in an AMA (Q&A) with Murray, he said he thought about retiring after this movie as wouldn't top it. and it's a solid enough little film, lots of trademark laid back Bill acting, good female cast and range of characters, keeps your interest, an intelligent enough ending.

Bill Murray plays a retired, well-heeled, yet lonely sad sack just coming off the latest of a long string of failed relationships. Murray's deadpan acting style is key to this movie.

The story of an investigation into the past with weird results and nice encounters, good music, shots and plot.
