As Ryan drives through the construction site with the window completely rolled down mud splashes up against the car and covers the entire driver's side door as well as the windshield yet Ryan remains completely free of any signs of mud.

Early in the movie when Ryan jumps in his truck, he closes the door and a crew member wearing a hat is clearly visible in the side window.

The Nokia 6600, used by Ryan to record the video showing the kidnappers executing people supports a maximum of 176x144 pixels when recording.

However the clip displayed on the phone has a much higher resolution.

When the mobile gives a low signal, seconds later in the attic you see a moving shadow of a crewman, since Kim is the only one there and she is not moving at the time.

Ryan records Chloe on his cellphone at the pier and she tells him that he is "iresponsible, self-centered and completely childish".

When he watches the recording in the truck, she never says "self-centered".

When real estate agent/husband is at the bank safety deposit box, he pulls his key from what is clearly a box far too small to have stored the camera bag he withdrew.

Before Ryan goes driving in the construction site, the cell phone switches from being on the seat to in his hands and then back on the seat again.

When Jessica Martin clicks the wires together to make a phone call, she first has wires apart and then tapped them together to make contact for very brief seconds.

This is contrary to how pulse dialing telephone systems work.

In real life, you'd have to do the opposite.

The wires should make contact, and then, break contact very rapidly for the number you wish to dial.

When Jessica cuts the goon's arm she tells him that he will bleed 30 liters/minute.

The blood flow through a brachial artery is nowhere near that much.

During vigorous exercise the entire heart puts out a total of 30 L/min, but that's the sum total flow through every artery of the body.

The flow though a single brachial artery is fraction of that.

In addition, the goon was not vigorously exercising.

At rest, the cardiac output is about 5 L/min.

When Ryan robbed the store to get a charger for his mobile phone, he connects the charger to the phone in his car.

A few moments later the charger is gone.

When Ryan is in the boathouse, he does not appear to be wet after diving into the water.

At LAX airport, when Ryan steals someone's boarding pass, the security only checks his boarding pass and does not ask for any ID like they would at the real LAX.

When Jessica strangles the bad cop in the van, the chain of her handcuffs/shackles gets longer and longerfirst it looks like 10 inches (25cm), but when she removes the keys from the cop's jacket pocket, her left arm is behind the seat.

To do that, the chain has to be at least 15-20 inches, and you can see that clearly.

(Why would cops use shackles or fetters anyway? They would use handcuffs with a very short chain.

) When Jessica is speaking to Officer Mooney, she clearly states that five men broke into her house.

There were only four men involved and a female officer (Baybeck) who was not shown until after Jessica was taken to the safe house.

Only three of the four men were shown entering the home.

At Santa Monica Pier, Ryan was caught by Chloe when he was talking on the phone with Ethan.

The cops came, but Ryan jumps off the pier and into the sea.

Then we saw him coming out off the water and hiding inside a warehouse under the pier.

And when Ethan is about to kill Mooney, Ryan calls him with his cellphone.

Unless the Nokia 6600 were waterproofed he wouldn't be able to do that call.

When Ryan steals the school security guard's car, he drives off without having to switch gears (the car would have been in park or neutral).

When the shooting occurs at the Santa Monica Pier, the responding officers are from the LAPD.

Since the pier is within the Santa Monica city limits, the correct responding agency would be the Santa Monica Police Department, not the LAPD.

When good cop Mooney fights bad cop Dimitri in the walkway by the pier near the end of the movie, the face of 'William H.

Macy' (qv)'s stunt double is clearly visible at least once (when he's being shoved back into the wall), and both stunt doubles are semi-clear a couple other times in that sequence.

In the scene where Craig ('Richard Burgi' (qv)) is brought to the attic, 'Kim Basinger' (qv) starts to say "Richard".

When going through security at LAX a gun is discovered when officer Ethan is going through screening.

He flashes a badge and security lets him through.

In reality it would take more proof than just flashing a badge to convince a TSA agent that Ethan was a police officer.

When Ryan drops his cell phone and it breaks, Jessica hears a dial tone on her phone.

A cell phone wouldn't do that.

The sound would just cut off completely.

There would not be a dial tone.

When Jessica Martin escapes from the attic, as she hops in the SUV, the Steadicam can be seen when she closes the door.

Not great > I kinda wish it had played for just the laughs, because the laughs were great :) Fairly slick, but also has the aroma of a made-for-tv flick. Hilarious to see Chris Evans so young as Ryan.

Cellular (2004)*** (out of 4) On a typical bright and sunny day in L.A.

This was a gem of a film. I never heard of this film when it came out, never saw a trailer at all.

8 minutes....that was all I could take!

It's rare when I movie is so bad that I don't watch the entire thing. I realize there has to be some level of stupidity on the part of some characters to make a situation last long enough to be a movie rather than a clip.

I remember seeing the beginning of this movie way back in like elementary or middle school but shut it off because it wasn't interesting then I rented it a few days ago because I found out chris evans was in it so I had to see if it was something I would like and it was.

This movie is so fun, it has some really cool action sequences! And you're invested right from the Get go.

Thank you paulsandberg from United States and Anthony Dunn from Denver, Colorado. Reading the first few reviews of this film made me think I'd been watching a different "Cellular" movie.

There are several exciting moments from the beginning to the end. I also agree it is crime, but it fits best in the category of thriller.
