A Chicago street sign misspells "Pearson" as "Paerson".

The vomit on the desk when Cataleya pukes up the chip disappears when everyone is asked to leave, then reappears.

In the credits "Prosthetics" is misspelled as "Prostetics" in one section.

Bogota is shown as a tropical city in the middle of the jungle.

Bogota is in fact located at the top of a mountain and it tends to be cool and rainy.

It is also a big modern city with skyscrapers.

Cataleya is shown reading a Xena comic book in what is supposed to be 1992.

But Xena did not air until 1995, and the comic book didn't come out until 1996.

The Catelaya or Cattleya Flower does not only grow in Colombia.

It is a genus of orchid found from Costa Rica to Tropical South America.

He also told young cataleya that his mother grew them.

When Don Luis' men take the Mercedes and get hit by the truck there are no airbags deployed.

The action takes place in 2007 with a recent model and by then all Mercedes cars had airbags.

The U.

dollar bills at the U.

Embassy in the beginning were of 2002, not 1992 print.

When Cataleya discovers her murdered grandmother and uncle, she is wearing brand new boots with clean soles.

Her boots should have been dirty under the bottom as she had been running through underground tunnels to escape the FBI invasion of her home.

In highlighting the arrival of the antagonists into Chicago, a Boeing 747 operated by KLM was captured landing at O'Hare Airport.

The errors lie in the facts that KLM operates into O'Hare only out of their hub in Amsterdam, and even if they did operate into New Orleans (the baddies' place of residence) law prohibits a foreign carrier from operating in a domestic capacity within the US.

So it is impossible for them to have taken that type of aircraft operated by that carrier between New Orleans and Chicago.

In the scene where she is swimming in the shark tank, she lifts the massively heavy piece of glass to exit the water.

If you look at the corner of the glass slab, you can see the large eye-hook screwed into the glass and the cable attached to it to help her lift the glass.

Cataleya knocks over her shoes on the policeman's desk when she is assisted up in her drunken state.

The policeman then adjusts the shoes on the edge of his desk, but after the camera cuts to Cataleya being led out, he adjusts them again.

The phone used by Danny Delanay to take a picture of Cataleya is an Apple iPhone 3G or 3GS.

The older model was released only in 2008, while the movie takes place in 2007.

When Cataleya attacks the Don's house she fires an RPG that enters the living room and explodes, destroying almost every item of furniture in the surrounding rooms, even the table that Marco and his hences were standing around.

But in the next scene everyone is still alive, even though the table is blown to bits.

When Cataleya's uncle Emilio is in the chair supposedly dead, he slightly jumps when she drops her gun on the floor.

When Cataleya enters the US through Miami as a child she escapes from her federal guardian through a window out the bathroom in the airport.

There isn't an international airport in the US with bathrooms that have windows connecting to the outside.

Cataleya's dead Grandmother moved when Cataleya is turning to get up.

After Cataleya feeds her dogs, she crumples the paper bag.

In the next shot, she is seen getting out of the cage with the paper bag she just crumpled.

While they correctly used 3.

5" floppy discs in the opening scene, the thing that she swallowed while being pursued after her parents murder appeared to be an SD card.

This technology wasn't developed until 1999.

But then when she vomited it up in the embassy, it still appeared to be an SD card until the agent turned around and inserted a floppy disc into his computer.

At the end of the film, before the credits roll, two people can be seen sitting on the bench in the background.

However, after Cataleya hangs up the phone, a close up of the bench is shown, with only one person sitting on it.

As the bus is departing, the two people are there again.

When they are searching the garage for Cataleya, Agent Ross says to "check every boot".

This is a British term for what Americans would call the trunk of a car.

The actor is British, but his character is supposed to be Amercian (based on his accent) and so wouldn't use this term.

In 1992, when Saldeya arrives in the United States, she is seen wearing a t-shirt with a big "Japan Rags" logo on it.

Japan Rags is a brand owned by French clothing company Le Temps des Cerises, which was founded in 1998.

When Jennifer greets the guard dogs, she holds up a steak and says 'Sirloin'.

The cut of meat she is holding is a Rib eye.

Cataleya states that her parents were killed in front of her when she was nine years old, yet the end credits list her as being ten in the flashback.

In the scene of Agent Ross (FBI) meeting the Richards (unidentified CIA guy) in his office, when Ross in on the phone with Cataleya.

CIA guy says"Can you please tell her that this glass is tempered to resist a direct hit by a 57 millimeter ordonnance".

A few seconds later, a shot is fired from Cataleya's rifle, which pierces the glass window and strikes a picture on a counter.

The rifle used by Cataleya is in fact a Blaser R93 LRS2 precision rifle, cal.

338 Lapua Magnum (8.

6×70mm cartridge).

Therefore, either there was a mistake in the script ("57mm ordonnance" should've been something else) or the actor poorly learned the only 2 lines he had to say in the movie.

The motorcycle chasing Cataleya at the beginning of the movie is a Honda CRF250R, either a 2004 or 2005 model.

Yet the scene is supposed to take place in 1992.

In the shark tank, Cataleya swims up to the second row of glass blocks.

In the next shot she lifts one in the third row, apparently further from the edge of the tank.

Luc Besson is what I would call a "fun" movie maker. His films like District B13, Transporter franchise, From Paris With Love were all mindless "fun".

I went to a midnight screening last night at Times Square because I've been wanting to see this picture for quite some time. With Colombiana movie posters on every street corner and wall I figured it was going to be a tremendous blockbuster to end the summer with.

Never forget where you came from. Zoe Saldana plays Cataleya Restrepo, a ruthless assassin who witnessed the murder of her parents when she was only nine years old.

There are times when Colombiana almost works, but that's not good enough. The film stumbles in some ways that actually surprised me.

If you have seen the trailer then you pretty much know what's coming. I personally thought it was a pretty good flick and the action throughout the movie definitely keeps your interest.

When Emma and I saw the trailer for this film I was really looking forward to seeing it Emma, not so much. I knew that Zoe Saldana (Cataleya Restrepo) could handle this type of role because of the work she did in Avatar and Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.

Totally culturally out of touch with Colombia and Colombian values. I'm at a loss for words why the casting people didn't search for a woman that is Colombian.

Zoe Saldana has been a rising star for the better part of a decade. After a scene-stealing turn in the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie she followed with a string of hits including The Terminal, Star Trek and Avatar.

I saw this movie last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. The action was superb, including the final fight scene which felt fresh and raw, just two people kicking the s**t out of each other, and the inventive use of the items at hand (oh, the toothbrushes!
