To me, not one of the better spaghetti westerns. Maybe something is lost in translation, but the scripted lines in English are embarrassing and spoken as such.

After 45 years looking for this film (I saw it when I was a child and I didn't remember the title, just the beginning of the film) it's been a great pleasure watching it again. Very good film.

Death Rides a Horse (AKA: Da uomo a uomo/As Man to Man) is directed by Giulio Petroni and written by Luciano Vincenzoni. It stars Lee Van Cleef, John Phillip Law, Carlo Pisacane, Luigi Pistilli, Anthony Dawson, Jose Torres and Carla Cassola.

There is a reason why people love Spaghetti Westerns. Most of the time, the movies that came out of this era were a little bit more realistic then its American counterpart, in the way, the films are made.

Two men, one young and new to the game, one older and wiser, both on a quest for revenge, pair up to hunt down the curs who wronged them. The film is a pretty typical 'spaghetti western' with lots of improbable gunplay, tough-guy stare-downs, stark desert landscapes, and laughing (pseudo) Mexican bad guys.

Opening with a harrowing prologue that instantly establishes what kind of story it is going to be, Death Rides a Horse (Da uomo a uomo) is a tale of murder, betrayal & retribution that's vicious & violent throughout, and benefits greatly from its excellent direction, straightforward premise, no-nonsense acting & terrific score to cement its spot amongst its genre's finest offerings.Directed by Giulio Petroni, the film derives its drama from the intersecting paths of two gunfighters, both looking to exact revenge against the same perpetrators, and covers their unsteady alliance as they head toward the same destination.

No Indians in this spaghetti Western. It's about revenge and hunting down the killers of one man's family.

As a child, Bill witnesses the murder of his family by four robbers.Fifteen years later, he embarks on his revenge.
