Good guy from the ghetto Leito (Parkour founder David Belle) teams up with tough cop Captain Damien Tomaso (stunt-man turned actor Cyril Raffaelli) to try and retrieve a neutron bomb that has fallen into the hands of crime boss Taha (Bibi Naceri), who also happens to have Leito's sister Lola (Dany Verissimo-Petit) as his unwilling sex-slave. With the clock on the device accidentally activated, Leito and Tomaso find themselves in a race against time to locate and deactivate the bomb before it detonates and wipes two million people off the face of the Earth.

Parkour lovers n action fans will be in for a treat. The action/ fighting sequences are phenomenal and combine mixed martial arts with elements of parkour.

This is a sci-fi thriller movie having lot ofaction ... And specially the fans of cyril and belle will get to watch a fighting face off between them....

A French producer had the bright idea of combining the extreme sport of Parkour – actually invented by one of this film's stars, David Belle – with a hard-hitting action movie along the lines of ONG BAK, and the culmination of these ideas is DISTRICT 13 – possibly the greatest French action film ever made, and one that certainly urinates freely all over the like of TAXI and other so-called classics. DISTRICT 13 is a simple film – as with much French cinema, it's all about style rather than substance, and there isn't a great deal of back story to worry about – and that's what makes it so great: it offers a ton of action, fulfils the promise, and that's it.

French can make action movies too! Good, but they made Yeti supernatural strong!

...whatever happened to the director of "Leon"?

I reviewed the sequel to this, Banlieue 13 - Ultimatum (2009) (a.k.

I would advise my fellow action fans to watch this. I gave this movie 8 out of 10.

It's Paris 2010. The high crime parts of the city have been walled off.
