When Mrs.

Connelly feeds Alex a Bugle (snack chip) she dips it in onion dip, but in the shot of her hand putting it into his mouth (and in the close-up shots of Alex) it is no longer covered in dip.

The parrot Dick is able to fly around the Duplex, but in close-up shots it is apparent that the bird's wings are clipped.

After Alex fires Mrs.

Connely's harpoon the rope is stretched out.

In the next shot the rope is wrapped up on the harpoon.

After the shooting in the hospital Nancy's hand is on Alex shoulder and moves about between shots.

When the woman at the housewarming party says "I got an award for this one" she clearly doesn't say "one".

The old lady's accent changes from Irish to Scottish through out the movie After Alex is injured by a gunshot, the doctor examining Alex does not wear gloves.

With this cast I thought I'd enjoy this movie.. I was wrong.

As another reviewer said so well, this movie is enjoyable only if you enjoy watching other people's misery. I agree.

Eileen Essell was 80 when she made her Hollywood debut in Duplex. And she steals Duplex from Ben Stiller and Drew Barrymore.

Good performances aside Duplex (borrowing from Throw Momma Off A Train, though much less successfully) fails on all accounts. Reliant on over the top and juvenile gags, it wasn't funny or romantic and never went as dark as it could've for a black comedy.

This is a slapstick comedy starring Ben Stiller as Alex Rose and Drew Barrymoore as Nancy Kendricks. They play a young couple who had just moved into a duplex in Brooklyn - a home of their dreams.

Ben Stiller is one of Hollywood's most talented comedic actors and has proved in other films that he has the ability to make some really great and funny films. But I am extremely confused to how this idea for a story ever sounded hilarious.

Danny De Vito shouldn't quit his day job. He should stick to acting and leave directing to the real pros.

Put this on last night not know anything about it and was pleasantly surprised. The plot was interesting and finished with a nice twist.

This is what the movie looked like and this is what it is. If you've seen Stiller muddle through "Something About Mary", "Meet the Parents", "Along Came Polly" and "Envy"...
