Perhaps I was expecting a deeper discussion about speciesism and the ethics of modern consumption of animal commodities, but this film fell short of the mark for me. The shock value of a lot of the footage made the narrative quite disjointed and difficult to get its point across.

If you haven't watched the Earthlings(2005) documentary then you must right nowI can start writing anything about this film and tell it is a must-watch or avoid it all cost but anyways It would be better to start with the quote by Leo Tolstoy which is said towards the end of the film, "As long as there are slaughterhouses there will always be battlefields." Period.

This film is the most disturbing, disgusting, terrifying footage I have ever seen. I simply don't know how to describe the terror being presented in this movie.

Humans are the most weakest babies born. This world was made to share with all living things.

Early on, Earthlings, a documentary film by Shaun Monson, presents striking images of Nazi genocidal atrocities towards Jews, which elicit a curious cognitive dissonance in the viewer's mind - certainly the Jews were cruelly "treated like animals", but on this occasion we are moved to ask a different question: should even animals be treated this way? Or did the Nazi treatment of Jews stem in fact from the socially accepted reduction of animals to mere objects?

Half way through, ready to turn this off. Its exactly as I thought it would be, brainwashing propaganda made up of one sided misinformation that relies on shock factor to guilt.

Well, I'm the one who wasn't astonished by this movie. On the one hand, it does indeed show a lot of ignorant cruel behavior with animals held in meat industry, in circuses, in harbors with sea animals getting dragged alive on the concrete floor.

I think we are all desensitized to the fact the meat sliced and diced and ready to consume in its pre-packaging has actually come from an animal a being. I think leather shoes and bags has become just a type of bag material not consciously recognizing that it came from an animal.

Nothing could have prepared me for what I witnessed in this documentary. I am ashamed to admit that I never really associated a piece of steak with a cow or veal with a calf.
