Upon returning to the beach, the shadow of a boom mic can be clearly seen.

Although the entire movie is set and was filmed during summertime with leafy trees and lush undergrowth, the additional aerial filming was obviously carried out in fall and repeatedly shows sequences with leafless vegetation and all the foliage lying on the ground.

Throughout the movie the amount of blood and dirt on Jenny and Steve can change instantly.

An example is when Jenny and Steve are hiding underneath the wooden hut (in the lake.

) In one shot Steve's chin dips into the lake and this causes his chin to become mostly clean from dried blood and dirt.

But in the next shot all the dried blood and dirt is suddenly back covering his entire face.

When the gang members have found Cooper dead, in one shot you can see his chest rise.

When Bonnie the Rottweiler sneezes over Jenny (during the beach scene), Brett the animal's owner, shouts "come here girl".

Either he's thicker than thick or the Rottweiler has an identity crisis because it is clearly a boy dog.

When Jenny is carrying the injured Steve through the forest, he is to her right.

Then an aerial shot follows, where he is to her left.

In the next shot, he is to her right again.

During close-ups of Steve's hand tied up by barbed wires we can clearly see that his hand is soaked with blood.

However, in the immediate scene after, where he managed to wriggle out of the wires and bring his hands in front of him his hand is only bleeding a little bit.

However, in the immediate scene after, where he managed to wriggle out of the wires and bring his hands in front of him his hand is only bleeding a little bit.

There was no time for him to wipe all the blood clean.

When Jenny and Steve come out from water beneath the wooden hut,Jenny is wet and there are some mud stains on her dress but in the next shot her dress is completely black.

Near the end of the film, the hood who recorded the violence on his phone is shown deleting the videos.

The video files however are much too small to be videos (one is 29kb for example).

When they crash against the tree and Steve gets stuck, you can see that there is no branch going through the car's window.

Eden Lake is set in England & starts as loving couple Jenny (Kelly Reilly) & her boyfriend Steve (Michael Fassbender) arrive at Eden Lake, a disused quarry of outstanding natural beauty that is soon to be developed into executive housing. Jenny & Steve plan to spend the weekend there together, finding a nice spot by the edge of the lake things begin well but a gang of local teenage kids lead by Brett (Jack O'Connell) show up & the two parties clash.

Savage social commentary gives way to cheap torture-porn thrills for what could have been an interesting premise, in this unconvincing horror flick. A middle-class couple go on holiday and fall foul of a group of teenage louts, a situation which quickly escalates into bloody violence.

"They" are rude, they are badly - raised, they have the bad spirit - mostly sour-turned, they do not rise from the ranks, they are degenerate, they are totally crazy, they are tremendously stupid and so nasty when arrives suddenly this average couple, come camp on the meeting of the wild nature: the addition is made pretty well-made then the confrontation effective as we expected it. The alchemy sets then very fast in the Gordian knot of Eden Lake, thus we are not going to reveal the outcome of this true survival movie for our friends who would not still have seen it yet, although we wonder obviously dice the departure which problem can well have Steve, going out with this adorable (as we say in France) bimbo who is Jenny / Kelly Reilly (and although as each knows that if you can do the big things, you can do the little things as well.

I really enjoyed the movie and felt for the characters and their heart wrenching moments. Had they not mattered to me, I might not have been so disappointed in the ending.

1 is way to much for this s**t movie. If possible it would get -8, Everything is wrong about this movie.

This film has everything a good horror/thriller should have. The main characters are built up in such a way that you feel for them as things turn ugly, but without spending too much time doing so.

Even though on paper this film has all the elements of brutal horror found in The Strangers or Funny Games, there are problems with the script that left me unable to care about the fate of the characters. Basic things like returning to the scene where you've been terrorized to continue your holiday seemed so stupid that you quickly realize you're going to be served up a straight, brutal tale of victims and attackers.

The only reason I decided to watch this, is because I've come to enjoy Michael Fassbender films. 'Eden Lake' is one of the very few films I wish I'd never seen.

After being bored to death with modern and mainstream horrors, I was absolutely desperate for a film that would harness my emotions and toy with them more than I was comfortable with. In truth, I was looking for a scare, and I found it.
