At 1:00:48 into the movie, Hans is pointing a Mauser rifle at Tom, Jody and Samantha with the safety straight up.
That would put a Mauser rifle on safe and lock the bolt in place as well as blocking the sights.
At 1:17:39 Hans is threatening Hans with the safety straight up, again putting the rifle on safe, blocking the sights and locking the bolt.
Jody shows the manufacturer tag of her vest to prove what year shes from (along with the money), but then states several times afterwards that she's from a year later.
I don't know where to begin. Why didn't this get a big Hollywood budget?
I rarely go higher than seven stars, but this was an excellent film. There is brilliant character development throughout the film.
Ignore all the 8, 9 and 10 reviews you see here. This movie is nowhere close to that score...
I'm sure your able to read the overall premise of 3 strangers showing up at a cabin in the woods. Now for the fun part, figure this one out prior to the reveal.
...only made it up to the part where, in the middle of the woods, the chick asks "Is there a bathroom around here?
This movie is proof that all you need to make a great film is excellent acting talent, great directing, great cinematography, minimal locations and special effects, but most importantly, an awesome and well-executed story.
I'm not sure why this movie showed up on a list of recommended horror movies I found, but I'm glad it did, even tho it's not my usual style of movie. If you also pick this up expecting a rollicking good horror story with the usual "cabin in the woods" gore & shocks etc you will be very disappointed.
Three strangers find themselves lost on an old cabin in the middle of the woods with no possibility to go and search for help or any kind of communication. Samantha is pregnant and she got separated by her husband when he go to find rescue after they run out of gas.
This was a good mystery, and a bit of fantasy also. I love films like this.
