You can see the white tape covering the Tropicana logo on the No Pulp Orange Juice container when they are having breakfast.

As the movie begins, we see Wade outside.

Then it cuts inside to Laura putting some bananas into Michaels cereal (47 seconds into the movie).

As the camera pans left we see the orange juice container in the bottom left of the frame already on the table.

In the next shot, Wade is coming to the table and the orange juice is NOT on the table.

Wade is carrying it in his hand and sets it down on the able.

In the beginning of the movie John refers back to how his daughter would have been 27 at that time but by the tattoo calender on his arm she should have only been 22 or 23.

Opposing prison gangs would never be allowed to share the same small recreation yard in an Administrative Segregation Unit.

The only time this would even occur would be on the mainline population yard.

Towards the beginning of the movie as Wade is speaking to his Public Defender she mentions that the bail is set at $1M dollars and whether he had $1M dollars to put up as collateral.

In reality he would only have to put up 10% which would have been $100,000.

When Wade first enters the SHU (Security Housing Unit), two inmates are shown in a cell together.

All SHU inmates are single-celled.

Once Wade is in prison the first time he is able to talk to Laura, her hand holding the phone changes; her finger is on the phone then off, changing from scene to scene.

A powerful movie that will get you have you emotionally involved, drained and white knuckled. A young small business man, Wade Porter(Stephen Dorff), kills an intruder while trying to protect his family.

This is stupid. How can man end up in jail if he protects his own property.

Felon is good from start to finish . I enjoyed this film because its simple yet very direct in its message .

I don't know if this movie supposed to be reveling or something, I don't think that this would happen in real life, or at least they couldn't hold this in secret for a long time. But there was some true facts about prison too.

The story wasn't particularly interesting to me and the plot was rather boring. Prison dramas are not my taste.

With its Heart in the right place but its head and body somewhere else, this is a well Acted Prison Movie that is arguably a Realistic look at the "Life" inside. Unless you have been there and done that, who knows?

Felon is a bitter and tragic prison drama that's packed with wrenching injustice, simmering anger and caged animal violence. Loaded with the kind of tough guy elements which make prison films exciting (check out Lock Up with Stallone), it's also has a tender side brought forth by its extremely thoughtful and well written script, which explores ideas that are both hard to swallow and very sad.

An emotional heart-breaking action flick unlike anything you've seen before. It will leave you touched, satisfied and amazed all at the same time.

The movie is interesting in a few ways. First of all, it shows that absolutely any of us can get into prison despite being a good person.
