Jerome rips his jacket sleeve seam while punching out the police officer, yet soon after it is intact.

As Vincent gets ready for his first day at work as Jerome, he pulls out his shirt from the closet and you can see fingers of someone holding the closet door open.

At the piano recital, there's a bouquet of flowers to the right of the piano (shot from overhead), but when the pianist is finished, and takes a bow, the vase (and flowers) have vanished.

The dolly track can be seen on the left of the screen when Vincent is standing in line to have a blood test done.

When the two men are swimming at night, they are sometimes shown to be naked, and other times (underwater shots) shown to be wearing boxers or swimming trunks.

When the detective shows the picture of Vincent to the director, the power cable to his "hand-held display" (prop) is clearly visible running around his hand and up his sleeve.

Because they are occurring some distance away, the numerous rocket launches shown should not be audible until a several seconds after liftoff.

When Jerome and Eugene are out at the club, on the table there is smoke coming out of Jerome's wine glass before he blows the smoke into it.

After Irene and Vincent have sex, you can see that the bedroom walls are pure glass (including the corner of the house).

You can also see a view of the beach and ocean.

Later when Vincent is on the beach scrubbing himself with sand, the house is viewed from the beach.

At that point you can see pillars in between pieces of glass on the house, including the corner.

Using hair/eyelashes for genetic testing will fail if no follicle is attached, but this method is used when no other material is available or the information is being obtained surreptitiously (as Irene and the investigators are doing when they use this method).

Urine is not the most efficient way to perform genetic testing when other samples are readily available, but the urine test was also performed to look for drug use as evidenced by Eugene's sample failing when he was drunk.

More specifically, urine itself does not contain DNA, but it may contain epithelial cells, which do contain DNA.

Most healthy individuals, however, do not excrete epithelial cells in their urine.

Html In the beginning when Vincent is putting the blood into the fake thumb he puts it on his left thumb but he always uses his right hand to get tested.

This is because Vincent himself is left-handed, but Jerome is right-handed so he had to make the switch when he assumed Jerome's life.

When Jerome starts to crawl up the spiral stair, he moves his legs with his hands as he is supposed to be paralyzed.

However, a moment later his legs can be seen slightly moving when he is struggling to get upstairs.

When Vincent is confessing to Irene, he tells her he doesn't have 20 or 30 years, his heart is already 10,000 beats overdue.

In an average male this would only be about 2 1/2 hours, not several years as the story suggests.

When Vincent alias Jerome has his interview at Gattaca you can see that the machine clearly shows a GNQ of 9.

When Irene gives the hair sample away for analysing, the woman at the counter states "9.

3, quite a catch".

After Jerome becomes paranoid about being accused of murdering the Mission Director, he states that the Mission director was beaten until unrecognizable.

Towards the end, the detective looks at the body again in the morgue and the face is completely intact.

This is one of the most realistic films ever made about what will happen in the near future, when mankind has the possibility to choose a perfect race, a perfect human being. Here we see the goal of Nazism in the hugest form.

I had a lot of interest on this movie because of a explicit recommendation and the good ratings. The expectations was high ...

I have never heard of this movie, yet when I saw a bit at school, I knew I had to see more. Now I have, I really don't understand why I hadn't heard of it.

Imagine a society where corruption is so rampant that all the good careers are reserved for the elite and their offspring. Now imagine a making a perfect analogy for that problem in a movie.

This sci-fi/thriller is a scary reminder of what our world might look like in the not-to-distant future. Ethan Hawke plays a man who is discriminated against because he is of natural birth.

I must admit when i first watched the Trailer for Gattaca in 1997 i didn't care to much for it ...Greatest mistake do NOT judge a book by its cover this is one of the Greatests movies i have ever seen, even now the way its directed by Andrew Nicholl (Lord of War) is everything the Original Star Wars Trilogy should of been.

There are some qualified actors (there's Mrs. Thurman, in another good role Jude Law, who absolutely and astonishingly dominates the cast --and of course there're also the cameos, Borgnine, Arkin, Vidal—very noticeable …) in this ambitious, classy, good—looking Sci—Fi movie I have found the lead character entirely dis-likable, and possibly also tritely acted.

I watch this film only once as for a school paper. The more I watch this film.

It was wonderful this is very amazing movie and I do wanna watch it over and over again, you can never guess what's coming up next the story was perfect I enjoyed that. I can suggest others to watch this true piece of art.
