When Siegfried's car is driving away from the Disney Hall at the end of the movie, the background keeps changing.

First, they are on a street in an industrial zone.

In the next shot, they are in the middle of the bridge.

After that, they are driving through a neighborhood full of houses.

When Siegfried is kicked out of the car on the bridge, the door flies off with him.

When the camera switches to back in the car, the door reappears on the car.

After Agent 99 and Max go through the storm drain, Agent 99 takes off her shoes.

When Agent 99 is fighting after they both get through the lasers, her shoes are back on.

When Smart drives through the building, it's an obvious stunt double.

Agent 99's white suit gets dirty after being dragged on the airplane banner.

Minutes later, the suit is spotless.

When Max stops on the lawn, there is a dark spot on the lawn.

When he talks to the tree, the dark spot is gone.

At Krstic's party, Agent 99 is wearing heels.

When she and Maxwell are going to the drainage tunnel, she is wearing flats.

When they leave, she is wearing heels again.

When Siegfried and Shtarker capture Max, a wedding ring disappears and reappears on Max's hand.

When Maxwell Smart tries to escape from jail, the radio in his cell is on.

While he fights with the guards, the radio turns off on its own.

In the credits, 'Leonard Stern' (qv) is credited as "Cesna Pilot.

" The proper spelling is "Cessna.

" When Max is free-falling after 99 lets him go, you can briefly see a suit-colored parachute pack on the stunt man.

Max takes keys, a semi-auto pistol with magazine, and the shoe phone from the museum.

In Los Angeles, when he pulls his gun in the truck, his gun is a snub-nose.

When Max and Agent 99 steal a car at the Russian gas station, the signs on the station and on the gas pumps says "gazoline.

" In Russia, gasoline is called "benzine.

" When Max talks to the clerk at the bakery, the plate of rolls she places on the counter moves from shot to shot.

Just before Max falls from the airplane, he has his Swiss army knife in his mouth.

He screams as he is falling, but later he still has the knife at Krstic's house.

Also all the wounds he inflicted upon himself before falling somehow disappear during his free fall.

During the I-47 car/plane chase, just before Smart enters, the black GMC Denali SUV briefly changes to a black GMC Denali pickup, with no passenger cab or box on it.

The pickup has no passenger, and the right headlight is different.

After Hymie staples Larabee's skull, Larabee and Agent 91 switch positions for the pain scene.

In brief segment with Max in the F/A-18D Hornet, his flight suit has an "Air Combat Command" patch, which is from the Air Force.

The Navy and Marines fly the Hornet, not the Air Force.

When Max jumps out of the plane, his hands are tied together.

Moments later, in air, his hands are free again.

Max's last shot with the Swiss Army knife crossbow cut the strap around his wrists.

When Agent 23 staples a document to Larabee's forehead, Agent 91's staple remover disappears and reappears between shots.

The Russian used in the movie contains many mistakes and absurdities.

Sometimes things are completely different from their English translations.

For example, at the beginning, "Mr.

President, your mother-in-law has arrived" is translated as "Don't worry.

The Americans suspect nothing.

" When Max and 99 are hacking into Krstic's computer, the list of shipments includes "nuclear detonators", along with "dining room chart", "zone's rug" and "steel boots of a foot's finger.

" When Max places detonators in the bakery, a red sticker on a barrel says "syrup of callus.

" When 99 and Max are at the dance, the camera pans up an empty hallway.

When it pans down, a waiter and a lot of people are walking through.

When Max talks with the clerk in the bakery, a man in a suit and blue shirt is walking up the street towards the bakery.

When it cuts back to Max again, the man is still walking toward the bakery, but further back.

When Dalip throws the air conditioning unit off of the bakery, he is standing at an inside corner of the building.

When the unit lands on the car, it's in front of a flat storefront, with no visible corner.

In the overhead shot of the freeway chase, you can see a California Highway Patrol cruiser holding traffic on one side of the freeway, and a transportation van and the crew on the other side, on a ramp.

When Max is talking to Agent 13 in the tree, the Lincoln Memorial is on his left.

When the shot angle changes, the WWII Memorial is behind him.

It should be on his right.

In the combat training range, the first scene shows a less-lethal ammunition round being fired, and the round hits an agent.

The slow-motion scene shows the entire round being propelled through the air, including the casing.

In reality, only the "slug" would be propelled, and the bullet casing would be ejected from the weapon.

'Bill Romanowski' (qv) is listed in the end credits as "Air Marshall".

It should be spelled "Marshal.

" When Max is reading his notes during the opening credits, there is a reference to the villain The Claw and his assistant "Toto" from _"Get Smart" (1965)_ (qv).

The Claw's assistant was "Bobo".

During the paintball fight, in slow motion, the paintball round is a regular firearm shell, with lead bullet and brass case.

The last individual close-up of the orchestra shows a brunette violinist, seated behind a blonde who is positioned to her right.

In the next shot when Max races onstage toward the conductor, the blonde now sits to the brunette's left.

When Max smashes Shtarker's face against the retinal scanner, you can see soft material compress as he hits it.

Some simple retinal scanners (in real life) are ringed with softer material to protect the skin and the machine itself, which does compress.

It is likely that this particular scanner was one of these, therefore the compression is not a mistake.

During the plane/SUV chase at the end of the movie, someone says they are heading south on I-47.

There is no I-47 anywhere in California, and if I-47 existed, it would be somewhere in the Midwest.

The closest thing to existence would be California State Road 47, which connects Terminal Island to mainland Los Angeles.

When Smart and 99 tail the Russians on the scooter, the headlight is off, when it cuts to the rear shot of the scooter the tail-light and licence plate are illuminated (indicating the headlight is on), in the following front shot the headlight is off again.

When Max is free falling and Agent 99 is returning after slicing the parachute, Agent 99 catches Max from behind, but in the next shot, when Dalip grabs hold of Agent 99, Max is facing her.

There is no way they could have turned around falling that fast.

In the freefall scene out of the airliner, the character is shown deploying a reserve parachute.

In actuality, the canopy that is deployed is not a reserve (or secondary) parachute, but is in fact a main (or primary) parachute.

Reserve parachutes have what are called a "free-bag" system.

When the parachute deploys, the bag that contains it, and the small pilot chute that pulls it out of the container, separate completely from the canopy.

The pilot chute and bag remain attached to the parachute if it is a main canopy, which is what is happens in the scene.

The red knob that is shown just to the right of the throttle marked "Cable Release" is in fact the mixture control.

This control allows for manual control of the air/fuel ratio as the altitude is increased.

When the Cessna 206 banner towing aircraft is shown to roll, the ailerons do not move at all.

Ailerons, which are located on the outboard section of the wing, are the control surfaces that make an aircraft roll.

No movement, no roll.

During the chase scene near the end of the movie, the car and airplane are shown going the same speed relative to each other.

This is evidenced by the characters being towed remaining the same distance in relation to the car.

The speed the car is driving is well below the minimum flying speed needed for an aircraft such as the Cessna 206.

This is especially true as the aircraft is shown in the clean configuration, i.

no wing flaps are extended that would help create more lift at lower airspeeds.

When Max tries to find agent 13, who is hiding in the tree, he knocks on the left tree (the furthest from the camera).

The hole in the tree opens, but when the conversation ends, Max stands in front of the right tree.

During the sequences after Max and 99 travel through the laser maze, the cuts on Max's tuxedo jacket disappear and re-appear repeatedly.

In the laser room when 99 tells Max to watch what she does she turns her head to her right while lifting her butt in the air.

When it cuts to a closeup of Max's reaction her head is facing to her left.

During the GMC Denali chase scene, when Agent 23 is shown driving, the shifter on the Denali is all the way up, which is the 'park' gear.

When Agent 99 is almost knocked off the roof of the of the SUV during the I-47 SUV/plane chase, her safety line is briefly visible.

While dancing Agent 99 is wearing Heels, she walks off the dance floor following Max and is still wearing heels.

As Agent 99 enters the closet there is a glimpse of her shoes and she is wearing flats, and as someone points out that she kicks off her shoes to go through the laser filled room; then she is wearing shoes again and they are the heels she was dancing in.

In the beginning of the film as Max is seen walking in the National Mall.

He is walking from the Capitol building towards the Washington Monument and then takes a left turn.

The next shot he was inside the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History.

From the direction Max is traveling, you must take a right turn, instead of a left to get to the Museum of Natural History.

When Max is showing going to work, we see him heading directly to the old Smithsonian Castle building.

When he then enters the building, it is clearly not the Castle but the Natural History museum, which is across the Mall from the Castle and further west.

Several people have mentioned 99's shoe gaffe in the laser scene, but also when they are fighting in the car at the end, she kicks off her right shoe to get the pocket knife out of Max's pants pocket.

When they crawl out of the car to grab the plane she has the shoe back on.

At Krstic's party, the snobby skinny girl's fan disappears and reappears before the heavy-set woman takes it from her, while dancing with Max.

When Dalip has finished lowering the bomb into the wall of Disney hall he goes to bend it back and in a subsequent shot the shiny metal sheet is exactly as it was before.

Metal can't do that, at the very least there would be some bend to it and damage to the finish.

When Smart introduces himself to the four young women at Krstic's party, he clearly says "Good evening" in Polish (says "Dobry vyetshoor"), instead in Russian, which should sound "Dobryj vyetshyer".

When Max talks to Agent 13 in the tree to get access to the secret entrance, Max knocks on the SECOND (middle) tree and we see Agent 13 answer through the hole.

Later in the scene, Max is standing in front of the THIRD tree (closest to the camera) and finishes his conversation with 13.

When Max escapes from his cell at Control, the guards punch in a code 93468 to get in, but he uses the code 94368 to get out.

When Siegfried is holding the violin after talking to the mystery man on the phone and talks about "replacing everyone", he stands with the violin under his arm, but it holding it by the neck when the camera flips.

During the climatic fight on the runaway SUV, the Chief looks ahead and sees a train heading towards Max and 99, but the train shown in the close-up a moment later is nowhere to be seen.

When Larabee and Agent 91 pick on a new guy (Hymie), Agent 91 has his agent name tag properly shown, but in the second shot the name tag is completely blank.

When the President is reading to the children, at the "Goodnight moon" line, the child who subsequently comments that he would suck as his teacher sits quite far from him.

In the next shot the child's chair is next to the president, prior to being dragged away by the agent.

During the concert, there is a cut to a pianist during excerpts of 'Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart' (qv)'s Symphony No.

40 and 'Ludwig van Beethoven' (qv)'s Symphony No.

Neither composition includes a piano part.

When Max tackles the orchestra conductor, the conductor's hands are not moving.

The score used by Siegfried is indeed a 'Ludwig van Beethoven' (qv) 9th Symphony score, but it does not correspond to the music being played, which is the 4th movement.

Sigfried is reading the 3rd movement, starting at bar 119.

The end of the symphony is incorrectly marked in red at 3rd movement bar 131.

The Score of 'Ludwig van Beethoven' (qv)'s 9th Symphony would not be titled "Ode to Joy".

The "Ode to Joy" is the name of 'Friedrich Schiller (I)' (qv)'s poem, which Beethoven based the Ninth on, found in Beethoven's sketch books, at the end of the fourth movement.

The correct title would be 'Symphony No.

9 in D minor, Op.

125 "Choral"'.

As the Ferrari zooms over the Bolshoy Moskvorechnyy Bridge in broad daylight toward St.

Basil's and Red Square, the bridge is completely empty of moving traffic, despite Moscow's notorious traffic congestion.

This is like showing a car zooming freely down Broadway or Wilshire Boulevard without another moving vehicle in sight.

(A roadblock keeping cars off the bridge can be seen just below St.

Basil's Cathedral.

) The symphony abruptly skips five and half entire sections as Max, 99 and the Chief run into the concert hall.

At the point where the camera shows the red X on Siegfried's score as if the performance is about to end, there are in fact nearly ten minutes remaining in the symphony.

At the beginning of the movie when Max asks agent 23 about his assassination after 23 replies that assassinations are prohibited by executive order 12333, his lips are moving but there is no sound.
