Errores

The Guyver bends down the barrel of a revolver held by one of the thugs.

In order to do this, the thug would have to be strong enough to bend it himself.

When Guyver first appears, his blade-like top on his forehead pops up.

Every other scene, the blade is still attached to his head.

The Guyver's extended elbow blades wiggle and bend like rubber as he twists and turns in fight scenes.

As the Guyver is about to rip the arm off a Zoanoid, the view jumps to three other Zoanoids standing together reacting to it, one of them being Striker who was moments previously thrown to the other end of the scene by the Guyver.

A scene where the Guyver dismembers a Zoanoid was cut to get a PG-13 rating, revealed by a scene substituted for ita reaction shot of three Zoanoids who were not standing together moments before or after.

From childhood memory I recalled this movie being great fun and really cool.So the lesson I learnt from rewatching this film recently is that some kid memories should stay as memories.

The Guyver seems like it was made by the old power-ranger guys, but it is in my opinion one of the best early superhero movies that I have ever seen. I believe that if Hollywood was to do a remake of this film, it would probably be as popular as Jumper or Spiderman 3.

When it comes to cartoon movie adaptations, it has yet to be seen where one comes out playing well. Speed Racer (2008) is a perfect example of this.

This film is made by a guy named 'Screaming Mad George'. Both which are true I'm guessing: you have to be mad to make such a crappy movie and maybe when he saw what he made he screamed his head off (and so would the execs who green-lit the movie I would imagine).

I haven't seen this movie in a while, but whenever I catch it on TV, usually very, very late at night, I can't turn away. I give this 5 stars out of 10 because of its compelling awfulness.

If you looked at the poster and naturally thought mark hamill wears a power suit and fights monsters, you would be wrong. He is one of the main characters but doesn't actually do anything.

If you think this film was intended to be in the vain of its animated counterpart then you are clearly wrong as it's true formula can only be found in the filming conventions of most Japanese B movies, for example bad campy acting, simple narrative, bit of kung fu, bit of gore, bit of comedy, lots of dark lighting, rubber costumes coupled with funky man to mutant transformations. One might question the integrity of the acting or dialog but the fact is the cast were directed to cheese it up so as to fit into its genre and eastern heritage.

Despite all the bad reviews I thought it was pretty good when you consider that it's an American comic book adaptation. The storyline was pretty straightforward, good guy accidentally finds some super weapon that the bad guy is trying to get his hands on.

I've seen the old Guyver cartoon and some of the newer Guyver cartoon and I got to admit that I am impressed with this American adaptation of the material. The creature effects and designs are perfect, the Guyver design is perfect.
