Hide and Seek

During the beginning of the movie when Emily is on the merry-go-round, she has permanent front teeth, but during some of the latter parts of the movie she still has baby teeth.

The blood spots above and below "Charlie's" right eye - after he kills the sheriff and is sitting in the hall by the basement door - disappear and reappear a couple of times.

Elizabeth's scarf changes position when she enters Emily's room.

In the beginning of the film, when Emily's mother is tucking her in, there is a strand of hair that comes and goes on Emily's face as the shots change.

When Emily is laying on her bedroom floor, she draws a picture of her and Charlie at the window, but she draws herself with blonde hair, the actress's natural hair color.

In the scene after Emily's father gives her the new diary, in an exterior view of the house there is no vehicle.

However, when Emily is walking towards the woods, there is an SUV.

If David killed his wife as shown in flashback, suffocating her with a pillow and then tried to fake her suicide by slitting her wrists, it would be immediately obvious to any medical examiner that she was killed by suffocation and then lacerated post mortem.

When 'Charlie' is seeking Emily in her bedroom, he says 'Is she under this bed?' and looks under the bed on his left, then checks the one on his right but in the very next shot, he is checking the bed on his left again.

In the alternate endings where Emily is in the asylum room, when Katherine comes into the room to tuck Emily into bed, there is no window in the door, but when she leaves and can't keep the door open, there is suddenly a window, revealing they are in a sanitarium.

In the alternate ending where Emily draws the picture, you can still see two heads on the one figure as the camera pans into the table (right after Katherine and Emily leave for school), but then when it shows the overhead view we see that the figure only has one head.

The tea kettle that boils and whistles on the stove has no "whistle" attachment on it.

When David says goodnight to Emily on the first day in the new house, presenting her the diary, he is wearing a green sweater, but when he leaves the room, he is suddenly wearing a gray one.
