High School Musical

It's slick and polished but I refuse to believe that a human wrote this. The plot and characters were pulled out of the stock plot and character drawers, no effort was made to do anything with it at all.

Leave it to the Disney Channel to tap into the enduring appeal of singing-and-dancing young people to create this enormously popular musical, which has spun off High School Musical 2, High School Musical 3: Senior Year, and a performance DVD called High School Musical: The Concert. The enormously wholesome and morally uplifting movies are a great antidote to the cynicism and anger that pervade so many contemporary films.

I love the High School Musical movie series! They always bring me back to when I was a kid.

There are so many more movies that deserve the attention and money but instead it goes to a musical that doesn't deliver the quality a popular musical would give. If you want a good musical then go see Hairspray or if your a adult see Sweeney Todd.

I have been given an HSM: The Junior Novel book and have finished reading it for less than a day. I didn't notice most parts of the story that affect the title.

It was okay for the first 30 minutes it also reflected a new version of Grease. Two high schoolers meet and then go to the same high school together, the popular girl doesn't like the new girl, the cute boy likes the new girl, the popular girl tries to sabatoge the new girl, the new girl and cute boy smile together at the end.

I had heard a lot about these TV made Disney films, and only the third one was released in the cinemas, so I suppose I forced myself to give it a go, but I'm quite glad I did, from director Kenny Ortega (Hocus Pocus). Basically Troy Bolton (Zac Efron) and Gabriella Montez (Vanessa Anne Hudgens) met over a winter break and sang together at a party, and didn't expect to see each other again, but then Gabriella's mother company transferred to Alburquerqe, New Mexico, where Troy is.
