How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

Andie's bag is placed under the light on Ben's desk and the light disappears in the close-up.

When Andie's bag/purse is on Ben's desk, it alternates between two handles up (in the far shots) and one handle up, one handle down (in the close shots).

Several times during the movie, especially in the first time she goes to Ben's apartment, Andie is wearing matching rings, which then disappear during the scene.

A cat on Andie's lap is shown facing towards one side.

In the next shot, it has reversed its position.

During the first night at Ben's apartment and the back and forth "we're going too fast" sequence, Ben's shirt goes from being one button open, to all being open and back again between shots.

Ben's shirt when he's first splashed by the truck In the poker game, the beer with the straw starts at the right then goes to the left and comes back to the right between shots.

When Ben is putting on his clean shirt, the collar is alternately up/down between shots.

At the end of the poker game scene, Andie is waving with one hand, but in the next shot she is waving with her other hand.

When Andie runs out of the party and Ben follows her out there is a man coming out right behind him in one shot.

In the next he's not out the door yet, then he's coming out the door in the next shot.

At the end when Andie and Ben are kissing, Andie is on the left.

In the next shot, she is on the right.

Michelle, pretending to be a therapist, wears large glasses which reflect a whole crew of people standing in front of drawn curtains while the scene is being filmed.

Games 1,2 and 3 of the NBA Finals are all played in New York, if games 1 and 2 were in NY then 3,4 and 5 would be in Sacramento When Ben is changing his shirt, at least on of the women (black sleeveless shirt, khaki skirt) is shown continuing to work.

Once he is finished, they are in the same place applauding.

When the Ben is blowing out the candles while Andie is in the bathroom, the last candle he picks up doesn't blow out when she emerges at the door.

When he sets it down, the flame is gone.

When Andie is talking on the phone to Ben's mother, the telephone switches from her left ear to her right and back again between shots.

Just before Andie surprises Ben at work with Krull, Tony hands Ben a mug and he begins to sip from it.

Ben has a black mug and Tony has a white one.

In a subsequent shot they've switched mugs - Ben is now holding a white one and Tony has the black one.

Near the end of the film when Ben is on his motorcycle watching Andie put her luggage in the taxi, there is a quick shot of a traffic light where it is raining, but in the rest of the scene it is sunny.

When Ben teaches Andie to ride a motorcycle, he takes off his helmet and puts it on the bench.

They both ride the bike to the next bench where we see his helmet.

When Ben and Andie are in his parents' bathroom and Andie is sitting on the toilet top, just before she says "when your mom hugged me", the position of her head changes between shots.

Andie's hair changes from very wavy/curly to nearly straight between shots in the bathroom.

Andie's hands alternate between holding food, holding a fork and being folded during the lobster dinner scene at the beginning.

When Michelle shuts the door on Mike she places her wallet on the desk.

In the next shot the wallet is in her hands.

When Andie goes storming out of Ben's apt, she slams the door behind her.

As the door shuts, the peephole cover swings to the side showing no actual hole behind it.

After Ben tells Andie he wants to go to couples therapy, she walks away down the street and waves back at him.

When she's walking toward the camera, she waves with her right arm while holding the plant with her left.

When the shot changes and she's walking away from the camera, she's waving with her left arm.

When Ben is teaching Andie to ride his motorcycle, in the long shots the boardwalk is completely deserted but up close there are many people seen sitting on the benches and walking in the background.

While they're shooting the DeLauer commercial, the print on the magazine title goes from big and blue in the long shots to small and pink in the close-ups.

As Ben comes out to join the bullshit game with Joey Jr.

in his arms there is a yellow baby blanket around the baby.

As he hands him off to Joey, however, the blanket disappears.

The DeLauer Party was supposed to have been on a Sunday night, the day of the party there was a scene that Annie was talking with her boss at work on the same day of the party.

When Andie arrives at the DeLauer party, she is wearing no earrings.

Later, after Andie and Ben leave the ballroom, she is wearing the necklace and earrings.

The security only asks for the necklace, and she takes the earrings.

In the revolving door at the beginning, the woman's purse jumps from being held between two fingers and her coffee cup, to an impossible position in the crook of her elbow After Ben and Andie are splashed by the truck they arrive at Bens house dry.

In the next scene in the bathroom they are wet again.

When Ben is talking up close to the dog's face, two men are seen in the distance trying to avoid the camera.

They appear to be stage hands.

When the character Andie Anderson says, "I mean this is Defcon 5, and I have to do something truly appalling," she really means she is at Defcon 1 or 2.

Defcon 5 is the lowest level of defense readiness.

Defcon 1 is the highest.

When Ben buys Andie the coke with no ice, he takes the soda with no lid.

Once he gets back to Andie the soda has a lid and straw.

When Andie is leaving in the taxi the shots vary from the taxi's window being closed to opened some to closed again so Ben can knock on it.

When Andie goes over to Ben's house for dinner and finds he made lamb she uses the excuse that she doesn't eat meat to ruin the dinner and then takes him to a vegan restaurant.

However, on the first night they met they went for dinner and had lobster.

This is actually very common, as many people follow a "pescetarian" diet, that is, eating only fish or seafood and not meat, especially red meat such as lamb.

Andie could very easily claim to eat only seafood, and therefore act repulsed by the lamb.

In the final shot of the bridge, at least two gawkers can be seen on the far side, obviously pointing and looking at the movie being made.

When Ben is reading Andie's magazine article, you can see the same paragraph/sentences are just repeated throughout the article.

When Ben is chasing Andie on his motorcycle at the end of the movie and bangs on the taxi window and yells her name, the closed caption spells it "Andy".

One of the headlines on the first magazine's cover (during the intro-montage) states 'How To Loose Your Stomach' instead of the correct 'Lose'.

When Andy asks Ben to get her a drink at the Knicks game, there is less than 2 minutes left in the fourth quarter.

Concession stands wouldn't be open that close to the end of the game.

For the NBA Finals to reach 7 games, it would take at least two weeks.

All 7 games wouldn't be played in the span of 12 days as in the movie.

Ben plans the date for Game 7 for "Day 13" and the couple go to Game 1 on "Day 2" When Tony wants Ben to read the article at the end of the movie, the same sentence is written over and over again"I didn't know I was playing a game, I fell for the greatest guy ever.

" When Andie leaves Ben's apartment after their lobster date, she forgets her bag at the apartment, but still gets into a cab.

Nothing was mentioned about how she ended up paying the cab driver.

And the bag magically appears in Ben's office the next day as he and his friends are walking into the office.

After the poker game, Ben runs down the stairs to catch up to Andie.

As Andie walks off, she waves him off with her right hand during the front shot.

But in the very next shot, it's her left arm that's seen to be waving.

At the Knicks game in the beginning of the movie after the game Andie is getting into a taxi and she hands Ben the cup of pop.

Then after he kisses her she hands him the pop again.

When Andie enters Ben's apartment for the first time, and comments on how nice it is, the panning shot of the apartment shows daytime outside.

They were just outside and it was night time (after drinks and dinner).

When Ben, Tony, and Thayer are in their office, you see Tony give Ben a black mug and Tony has a white mug.

When Ben drinks, their mugs have switched.

I like the idea that both characters are not 100 % into the relationship forming between them, but not for the usual reasons. Both are doing it for their job, but their goals are the opposite.

Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey are paired by Hollywood to star in a few movies as modern couple. There is some chemistry between them but not so much as the producers might wish for.

Two great performers lead the way in this classic romantic comedy.I liked the twist involved in this movie and how it was relatable to many individuals who go through the norm of an American relationship.

This movie is a very cute and well made romantic comedy. This movie well casted as well, Kate Hudson and Matthew are great in this movie, and they also have wonderful chemistry.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days is a pretty good, charming romantic comedy even though it's very predictable and plays it safe. I could see the ending from miles away but it's how the movie plays to the ending that affects whether this film is watchable or not.

This film may look cheesy in the trailer, but it works. Its not really a chick flic either.

This movie is just as good and funny as I remembered from when it was released. Perhaps the best, or one of the best in romantic comedy.

It's been some years since I've watched this but it is refreshing. It's refreshing to watch a romantic comedy that is done with style.

It's a fun romantic comedy.I loved the chemistry between Matthew and Kate.
