When Bernard hands Vivian the phone for an emergency call from Tommy, the phone is in the right direction.

When Vivian receives it, however, the phone is upside down and Vivian begins talking into it without flipping it around.

As Bernard discusses with Albert how his nose has no beginning and no end, you can see the boom mic in the reflection of the sunglasses on top of Vivian's head just as the scene ends.

When Vivian and Bernard are inside of Dawn and Brad's house after rummaging through the trash, the boom mic is visible in the reflection of the yellow teapot as Dawn pours it.

When Brad is speaking with Bernard and Vivian in his office (near the end of the film), the football changes position after he sets it down on his desk - in one shot you see the strings and in the next, you don't.

Tommy's beard throughout the movie.

Most notably in the "sign out your bikes" scene.

Most cars in the movie have obvious "prop" license plates (with blue and white shading, and no State name, as if to obscure the intended setting.

) However, numerous cars are seen to have California plates - often cars not under the control of the production team, for example, driving by on the roads.

In one scene in the parking lot, all of the cars in the "background" have California plates, all of the cars in the "foreground" have prop plates.

Near the end of the movie when Albert clambers onto the rock beside Tommy the sound betrays the fact that the rock is made of plaster or fiberglass.

After the fire at Brad's house, Caterine's camera disappears and reappears several times.

"Beethoven's String Quartet #14, Op.

151" is mentioned in the credits.

There is no Op.

String Quartet #14 is Op.

When Brad rises from his desk after telling Vivian and Bernard to shut up, his blue shirt is clearly wet.

But Brad doesn't get his shirt wet until the next scene in the men's room.

When Bernard and Vivian are in Brad and Dawn's Kitchen, Brad says, "This is not why I hired you.

" and has his arms crossed.

In the next shot, a wide shot of the two couples, Brad has one hand in his pocket and the other by his side.

When Catherine is in Albert's parent's apartment, she's seen holding Albert's childhood journal.

On the page that is open, it appears that the first words of the first sentence are "I went.

Yet, when Catherine asks Albert's mother to read the entry, she reads "I came home.

" first.

In the Huckabees' headquarters, when Brad interrupts Albert's poem-reading, Tommy yells and points with his left hand in the wide shot.

Cutting to a closer shot of Tommy and Albert, he is pointing with his right hand.

When Tommy's wife is leaving him, Bernard shows him a picture of the universe.

He looks over to the left side of the picture when pointing out "our galaxy.

" However, in Tommy's next line, he points to the right side of the picture and says, "There's us over here.

" When Dawn Campbell rushes onto the advertisement stage next to Heather and confronts Daryl, Heather's coat is on in one shot but in the next shot, her coat is off without Heather taking it off.

While Brad is on the grass crying, the wet spots on his shirt change with every shot.

After Caterine takes a Polaroid picture of Brad she holds the camera with her right hand.

The next shot of her she has her arms crossed, and the shot after that she is holding the camera again.

Towards the end when Albert tells the man in a white suit to treat his bike like a car before rushing in the building, the bike is first facing opposite directions in the two shots of it.

When Brad and Albert enter the elevator near the end of the film, Brad's shirt is completely soaked down to his elbows.

After the elevator doors close and a brief discussion between Brad and Albert, Brad's shirt is completely dry up to his shoulders.

In the flashback scene where Brad and Albert are talking in the restaurant Brad tells him his girlfriend liked Albert's "poem about the rock".

This is impossible because Albert first read that poem after saving a piece of the marsh at the beginning of the movie so at the time of the restaurant conversation, the poem had not yet been written.

When Albert (Jason Schwartzman) is struggling to understand the meaning behind a series of coincidences, he calls upon the help of Bernard (Dustin Hoffman) and Vivian (Lily Tomlin), a couple of existential detectives. Their 'investigation' changes not only Albert's life, but of the people around him too.

There is an audience for these type of films, and having watched with an open mind not knowing exactly what it was about. After the end credits ran, having felt confused and puzzled as to what having just watched.

I Heart Huckabees is probably not a movie everybody will enjoy but I did. As a nihilist it's right up my street.

Albert Markovski (Jason Schwartzman) is a philosophical poet always doing strange things for his causes. He finds a business card for Vivian Jaffe, Existential Detective.

It took 2 hours to showcase the idea that philosophy and societal coherence clash. It could have maybe been a good premise if it weren't executed so arrogantly and contradicting itself so much.

I watched this movie in my English class to learn a little more about existentialism along with reading the book the stranger I am only a senior in high school and completely understood this movie as strange and abstract as it maybe i have a few ideas for a thesis on a paper I am writing using the movie and the book: Ultimately you can only fix your own problems but together you can fix the world. People only care when there is a problem.

Giving credence to the phrase "everything old is new again." I HEART HUCKABEES is a pleasing throwback to the 1960's.

This is not a "There's Something About Mary" slapstick movie. This is not a Mel Brooks farce.

"I Heart Huckabees" is to be recommended to students of philosophy, as it asks the casual viewer to consider ideas that have a variety of interpretations. Yes, one can see where director David O.
