The photograph of Mary Riley shown at the beginning is larger and more widely framed (showing much of the front of her caravan) than the "same" picture shown at the end (showing only Mary and her baby in the door).

In several shots of Tito and Ossie riding bareback while the horse is galloping, Ossie is represented by a very floppy dummy that's obviously tied and pinned to the stunt rider playing Tito (01:13:44 to 01:14:51).

The horse ranges in color, from gray with darker gray mane and tail, to almost completely white, and a very noticeable braid in his mane disappears and reappears throughout.

The dogs used when officials are tracking the boys and the horse through the forest (01:15:00 to 01:17:10) change from crop-eared to natural floppy-eared.

When the grandfather is arriving at the Towers in his caravan, another man standing in the caravan is clearly visible (at around 59 mins), even though the grandfather's only companions were his dog, his black horse and Tir Na nOg.

Neither boy can read until Tito gets a few lessons, but still can't read well, however, when the horse takes them to their mother's grave Ossie, who has not learned to read, asks (at around 1h 18 mins) "Why is my birthday on that stone?".

I just got this DVD and I waited the longest time to finally see it. Very well made and produced ....

This is 6 part min-series, 90 minutes each episode. This is a large scale production for a TV mini-series made by DreamWorks for TNT.

I read details offered by IMDb on this movie various summaries external reviews & several user reviews: Why no one has mentioned or made reference to Michener's "Centennial" surprises me! One of the first ways we expressed our view of this miniseries was a comparison to the book & miniseries.

I liked this series at first, and let me be clear, it was well made and well acted all the way through, but it seemed to lose sight of the characters after the first couple episodes. After a while it no longer focused on the characters, but just on history.

Because I don't understand the Lacota language, subtitles would sure be nice.

Into The West is a charming Irish folktale with two excellent lead performances from Gabriel Byrne and Ellen Barkin, who have been married in the past and therefore have a natural, easygoing chemistry. The film takes place in rustic Ireland, where two young boys are given a magnificent and mysterious white stallion by their gypsy grandfather (David Kelly).

F hate it how imbd put those sugar coated reviews in front and hide real reviews in a back. watched 3 ep until i realized this show isnt so 10/10 but rather 1/10.

A beautiful heartwarming emotional movie. You will laugh and cry.
