In the next shot, she is then holding it by the stem.

In Miles Massey's first meeting with Marilyn Rexroth, Marilyn's necklace is hanging slightly off centre.

In the next shot, it is hanging perfectly.

The necklace moves in these two positions for the next few shots.

Miles' black Mont Blanc fountain pen is precisely placed in front of him as he is sitting at his otherwise empty desk.

When the camera returns, the pen is still immaculately placed but facing the other way.

After his keynote speech in the NOMAN convention, he tucks in his shirt and heads for a bar.

As he walks up to the bar counter, you can see that his shirt is once again untucked.

During Miles's keynote speech at the NOMAN convention, his hair repeatedly goes from being perfect (combed to the side) to falling onto his forehead, even though he never touches it.

Much of the film's plot is driven by inaccurate representations of California divorce law.

Under the community property theory, factors like infidelity are virtually irrelevant to the distribution of property upon divorce.

"Intolerable Cruelty", directed by Joel and Ethan Coen, is the story of successful divorce lawyer Massy (George Clooney) who has never lost a case and is famous for his fool-proof prenuptial agreement. When one of his clients presents him with an impossible to win case of infidelity and unarguable evidence, Massy digs up as much dirt as he can on the prosecuting gold digger, Marylin (Catherine Zeta Jones).

I love this movie. It is one of the few I ever watched twice and bothered to buy.

Miles Massey (George Clooney) is a tough L.A.

Underrated gem for fans of film history. If you liked Hudsucker Proxy then you will like this.

If you ever don't want to have an Ante Nuptial Contract or as the Americans call it a Prenup. Then make sure to sign it and just tear it up afterwards, it will make the whole thing null and void.

This is the first time the Coen's usually clever comedic tones didn't sit well with me. I get what they were going for, but it missed the mark for me completely.

Filled with vacuous characters who are not likable in the slightest but they are certainly charming and with a script that is full of laughs this is an entertaining 90 mins.After watching the previous work by the Coens this is such a refreshing tonic to that sombre melodrama.

Fun watch-Clooney is funny and Zeta Jones is hot. All the Coen brothers touches are included as expected.

I've watched this funny, funny film numerous times and am always shocked by the rating here.We moved recently (from where my buddies and I often quoted lines from the movie) and the FIRST time I was out golfing with new folks, one of the guys asked another if he had watched it yet!
