This movie made me feel sick. I recommend sticking with the first.
"I can abide in order to survive, but I won't let him insult Chinese martial arts!"Ip Man 2 once again brings much of the amazing martial arts action that I loved in the first movie, but this time around, the story is of a much different tone.
...And not only in the life of our protagonist, Grandmaster Ip Man (Donnie Yen), but Ip Man 2 fails to become as good and soulful as the first movie.
What did I think? 3 of 5 stars.
This sequel not only has the same star, writer, director and fight choreographer as the first movie. It also has in essence the same story.
Great music and theme,amazing acting,Decent story-line nice follow up to prequel,good screenplay,action scenes were literally Masterpiece every fight scene was literally well performed specially the table fight was intense the jumps the conflicts and fast paced hand to hand punches were awesome!unlike prequel this movie felt engaging till end and entertaining 1st one was slow and little off the flow!
This movie is about real, sensitive, humaine, wise, modest but also heroic Chinese people having to deal with caricatures of "foreign devils", as they are called repeatedly throughout the movie. Ip Man himself is calm, it's people or their Kung Fu.
Although the combat and non-fiction elements are a bit more farfetched than they were in the original, this is a successful sequel. As well, the camerawork showed a great improvement, and the new and more pervasive use of humor was quite a treat.
This second movie is not as great as the first one but it is still amazing even it's flaws. I really love the kung fu choreographies and acting from the main characters.
