It's Kind of a Funny Story

When Bobby and Craig are in the gym after playing basketball, Bobby is laying down on the floor.

Bobby's shirt is covering and then is not covering the bottom of his stomach with each alternating shot.

Some of the psychiatric patients in the hospital are wearing sweatshirts with drawstrings.

Mental health facilities would not allow patients to have these.

The staff took away Craig's belt and shoelaces, so they likely would not have allowed drawstrings in the hospital.

When Craig first encounters Bobby in the waiting room at the hospital at the beginning of the movie Bobby asks him why he is "in the hospital alone in the early hours of Sunday morning?" Later on in the film Craig narrates that he has been in the psychiatric ward since the previous Saturday.

The soundtrack which made Moqtada get out from his room wasn't Egyptian.

It was a Syrian song composed and performed by Syrian artists.

This film starts with a boy contemplating his own death. This sounds quite dark but this is actually a very gentle, touching film.

Realmente confesso que tive um pré-conceito antes de ver o filme... o que me agradava era a presença de Zach Galifianakis no filme...

'It's Kind of a Funny Story' (2010) follows Graig Gilner (Keir Gilchrist), an out-of-sorts, depressed teenager who checks himself into the local hospital after having suicidal thoughts. After begging to be treated, Craig is admitted to the adult psych ward, known affectionately by patients and staff as 'North 3'.

I watched it in my tough school days and loved it so much.

The first I watched this film I thought it was amazing and I gave it a 10/10. However, when I watched it again I'd give it a 5/6.

Started out kinda funny, then kinda got stuck in the same lame and NOT funny mode.The bad: the leading kid actor has got no charisma AT ALL and he has got only 1 face expression for every emotion.

It is a simple story, but one that is dramatic and fun, it is good to enjoy for a while.

From zero to hundred - that's how the movie paces. The last fifteen minutes are the best parts of the rather melodramatic story.

The film is set in an adult psychiatry, where the characters are interesting, the storyline is more or less balanced, the directing is fine as well, and most times it doesn't get too emotional or Hollywood-like. BUT there's a huge problem with this film: the protagonist.
