Set in 1995, the calendar in Jackie's kitchen is for 1997.

The movie is set in 1995 but when Jackie enters the mall a sign on the door says "July 4th, Friday, hours.

July 4 was a Friday in 1997, when the movie was shot.

A computer software store advertises 688 Hunter/Killer, not available until 1997.

Ordell's cellular phone (Motorola StarTac) was not available until 1997.

Traffic suddenly disappears when Ordell shoots Louis inside the van, and the parked cars keep changing.

Also, two men seen hanging out on the sidewalk during the close-ups on Ordell are gone in the wider shots.

When Ordell and Louis are in the van after Louis kills Melanie, the camera rig on the side of the van can be seen reflected in several store windows.

Cameraman's reflection can be seen in glass window when Jackie and Ordell are shouting on the patio.

Melanie's crossed legs switch places in alternating shots.

Eventually, the two shots match.

The extra money at the bottom of the bag is secured with rubber straps, but when viewed later, the straps are gone.

When Sharonda is talking to Jackie in the mall, Jackie's hand enters frame to put out her cigarette.

When the camera cuts back to Jackie, she still has it.

When Jackie leaves the bag of cash in the fitting room she leaves it on the edge of the middle cushion, but when Max Cherry picks it up, its on the left cushion instead.

When Jackie leaves the fitting room, she leaves the door open.

When Max goes to the room, the door is closed.

Cameraman's reflection can be seen following Jackie into the mall for the money exchange.

During the conversation between Melanie and Louis, in which they are talking about stealing the money from Jackie and Ordell, you can hear director 'Quentin Tarantino (I)' (qv) coughing off screen.

When Jackie puts on 'The Delfonics' (qv) record, she puts the needle halfway in the first track, but only after a second or so, the beginning of the song ("Didn't I") is heard.

While set in 1995, the song played in the record store is 'Foxy Brown (I)' (qv)'s "Holy Matrimony (Letters to the Firm)", released in 1996.

SPOILER When Ray checks Ordell's pulse after he shoots him, he uses his thumb.

Every lawman knows that you do not use your thumb to check for a pulse because you will end up feeling your own pulse.

The back of Jackie's hair when she walks away from the cashier in the mall as she is frantically looking for Ray is very curly and neat but a few seconds later it isn't curly and is frizzy.

While putting the money in her bag in the airplane bathroom, Jackie drops numerous items on the floor.

She doesn't pick them up, yet when the camera goes again to an overhead shot, the items on the floor are gone.

SPOILER When Ordell and Max go to his office at the end of the movie to see Jackie, Ordell has the gun in his hand when he first walks in with Max.

When he walks through the doorway towards Jackie, you can clearly see he has nothing in his hands, but after Ray shoots him, he kicks the gun away from Ordell's hand.

When Ordell shoots Louis, blood splatters on the van's front windscreen but this is inconsistent with the direction Ordell fired the gun (from the side rather than from behind).

When Max is in the record store, the number and the positions of the Delfonics tapes in the rack changes between shots.

The photo of Melanie in Japan shows her wearing a qipao, which is a traditional Chinese dress, not Japanese.

When Simone is leaving the mall Max Cherry writes down the license number of her car.

The number is 3L60314, which is a number, then a letter, then 5 more numbers.

This sequence is used in California on Commercial plates found on Pick-up trucks and Medium and Heavy Duty trucks, not privately owned cars.

In the first scene when Ordell and Louis are watching the "Chicks Who Love Guns" video, Ordell hits the "rewind" button on the remote to move the tape FORWARD to the next scene.

When Max Cherry shows his ID to Jackie, it shows his birthday as 3/15/48, making him 47 years old (the movie takes place in 1995).

At the end of the movie, he tells Jackie that he is 56 years old.

The film takes place in 1995.

Officer Dargus explains that Jackie was first busted in 1985, then says "Cut to 13 years later.

," making 1998 the year in which the film would be occurring.

When Jackie pays for the new suit, the cashier doesn't count the wad of bills that Jackie hands over.

This goof occurs again when this scene is repeated from a different character's point of view although at least, this ensures continuity.

The first time we see Jackie pointing to the fitting rooms, she uses her right hand.

The second time, she uses her left.

'Quentin Tarantino (I)' (qv) frequently uses this kind of inconsistency in "replayed" scenes in his films, to show the same scene from many different perspectives.

When Max Cherry goes to his car after exiting the Billingsley store at the Del Amo Mall, his passenger window is open; yet, he still visibly unlocks the driver side door to enter the car.

Even in 1995 you were not allowed to take a bag into the changing room.

To prevent shoplifting.

Jackie takes a huge bag in with her.

Del Amo Fashion Center is listed during the film as the largest indoor shopping center in the world.

At the time of production, that distinction belonged to the West Edmonton Mall in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Ordell insists that.

45 pistols have become popular because The Killer ('Yun-Fat Chow' (qv)) used a.

In fact, Yun-Fat Chow wields a 9mm Beretta throughout The Killer (1989).

The only.

45 that appears anywhere in the movie is held by a Triad.

After Ray shoots someone, he checks their pulse with his thumb.

Correct procedure is to use the first and second finger to take someone's pulse, as the thumb has it's own (weak) pulse and thus cannot give an accurate result.

This is fairly basic knowledge that someone in his position should know.

In the closing scene Max tells Jackie, "I'm 56 years old," yet when he shows her his ID card earlier in the film his date of birth is listed as 3/15/48.

This would make him 47 at the time the film is set (1995).

Jackie Brown is a terrific movie with a very well developed storyline like all Quentin Tarantino's movies and a very talented cast.I certainly didn't enjoy it as much as Tarantino's previous work,Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction,it wasn't as violent, action packed or as exciting as them and I was a bit disappointed by it,but it still is a really good movie.

Coming as it did after critical darlings "Reservoir Dogs" and "Pulp Fiction", it's perhaps not surprising that Quentin Tarantino's next film failed to - at the time - scale those giddy heights. Yet on reflection these days, when viewing Tarantino's career over twenty years later, it's one of his tightest works.

Jackie Brown is Quentin Tarantino's third feature length film, and the only one is his roster that's not an original screenplay. And this is why, in my opinion, it's his least- best work.

Funny, well acted, and well directed as always, Tarantino's Jackie Brown may not be his best work, but it certainly is a noble effort. The film has many rather good performances, most notably Pam Grier as Jackie Brown herself, as well as Robert Forster and Robert De Niro.

Jackie Brown is a very good film. I enjoyed most of it.

Pam Grier, Samuel L. Jackson, Robert Forster, Robert De Niro, Michael Keaton, Michael Bowen, Chris Tucker, Tommy 'Tiny' Lister and Bridget Fonda star in Quentin Tarantino's 1997 crime thriller based on a novel, "Rum Punch.

This movie was a blast. And whether it was intentional or not (I'm sure it was) it was a riot.

Jackie Brown is the closest we've gotten, and is also the reason we can be sure it would be something completely different and super interesting. It's the themes and drive from his other movies but it's much closer to earth in a way.

The classic entrance of Jackie Brown along with the catchy song, immediately you are drawn into this great plot. Jackie Brown is a lady that even in the most difficult situations, finds a way to overcome them and not lose hope.
