When Johnny English and Bough are attacked by Vendetta in the underground car park, he runs for cover behind a concrete pillar after he fired the first round of shots.

In this pillar we see the hole created by the impact of a bullet, before Bough has started to return fire towards him.

At the end of the movie, newsreader 'Trevor McDonald (I)' (qv) says that Sauvage was charged with "high treason", a crime "still punishable with the death penalty under UK law".

On 31 July 1998, high treason and piracy with violence ceased to be capital crimes.

On 27 January 1999, the Home Secretary ('Jack Straw (II)' (qv)) formally signed the 6th protocol of the European Convention of Human Rights in Strasbourg, on behalf of the British government formally abolishing the death penalty in the UK.

The name of 'Douglas McFerran' (qv)'s character is clearly given in dialogue as Klaus Vendetta.

But when the credits come up, his first name has changed to Carlos.

When Bough and English are in the cemetery, Bough takes the gun away from English and holds it in his hand while he escorts him out of the cemetery.

In the next shot, the gun is no longer in Bough's hand and is nowhere to be found.

In the sushi bar, Lorna feeds Johnny a thin, small gray fish and calls it "sea urchin.

" Actual sea urchin looks like a slightly squat dark ball covered with spines.

What is served as sea urchin at sushi bars is the roe of the animal, which has the appearance of a grainy, yellow-orange mass.

It is typically presented on top of a small ball of sushi rice, and the whole thing encircled by a strip of dried seaweed.

After Johnny English has accidentally landed in the hospital, a sign behind him points towards "Orthopedics".

UK hospitals use the British spelling of "Orthopaedics".

Johnny English's picture is taken by a traffic control camera during the car and hearse chase.

The date on the picture is 21 March 2003.

This chase takes place before 'Queen Elizabeth II' (qv)'s abdication.

The letter of abdication is dated 20 March 2003.

In the shot at the end, when Lorna falls in the pool, Bough straightens.

In the next shot, when Lorna surfaces, he straightens again.

At the end of the movie 'Trevor McDonald (I)' (qv) announces "the Queen has bestowed a knighthood on the un-named secret service agent.

" but then when Lorna falls in the pool, Boff is reading a newspaper that says "knighthood for hero English".

Sauvage's discs are said to be DVDs, but the light green-blue color indicates that the disks are CDs and not DVDs (which would be purplish).

During the hearse chase, a camera and cameraman is visible in the car door of the hearse when the hearse goes round a corner.

The camera man is crouching on the pavement.

At the end when Johnny drives the Aston (with Lorna) to the cliff, there is a far-out shot where clearly no-one is around, but on a close-up shot of the side of the car before it parks, a crew member in a white T-shirt can be seen reflected in the car door.

In the chase scene, the Aston Martin lands on a trailer.

When Johnny wants to get off the trailer he has to drive backwards off the trailer, thus putting the car in reverse.

After starting the engine of the Aston, the next shot shows the Aston backing out from the trailer, but the car's reversing lights are not lit.

When Johnny English is being lowered from the car transporter in the chase scene, an oncoming Fiat pushes underneath the Aston Martin causing all four wheels to rotate.

This would only be possible if the car was in neutral gear, but it is not as when he selects reverse to back off the trailer he moves the gear selector backwards from park to reverse.

Hence only the front two wheels would rotate as being a rear wheel drive in park gear, the gearbox and rear wheels would be locked and have no free rotation.

During the car chase, the bad guys look behind them and say "Those idiots are right behind us.

Faster!" and the car behind them is red.

But then when the hearse speeds up, it's silver, and when the hearse turns at the corner, it's blue.

Lorna's hair when she first meets and talks to Johnny English in the Tower.

A strand of hair is undecided whether to rest on her brow or above.

The tattoo bearing the words "JESUS IS COMING, LOOK BUSY" on the buttocks of the fake archbishop of Canterbury is clearly not realthe letter N in COMING is blurred because of the man's sweat.

When the crowning ceremony of Pascal Sauvage was televised live around the world, the Australians (who live on the opposite side of the world to Britain) are watching the crowning ceremony during the day.

If the crowning took place during the day in Britain, then the live telecast will be seen by Australians at least in the late hours of the night or at the earliest, in the early hours of the morning.

When Johnny English was swinging on the rope with the royal crown during the ceremony, you hear him say, "Never in the million years.

" But you take a closer look at his mouth, he doesn't actually say it.

- PLOTWhy are Klein and Vendetta still in the garage next to the Tower of London the following morning? It would seem prudent to make a very quick getaway indeed after stealing the Crown Jewels.

The is absolutely no geographical consistency to the hearse chase, with consecutive shots frequently depicting the vehicles in completely different areas of London.

During the car chase, the hearse skids round a corner in a narrow street.

Tire marks can be seen on the road where it has already made the same maneuver on previous takes.

When Pascal is telling the criminal bosses his plan he says that he will make England into a prison but he should have said Great Britain as the DVD he was showing was putting prisoners all over Great Britain not just in England.

When Sauvage is briefing his friends about his plan for turning Great Britain into a prison, he is using a projector to display his presentation, but it would have displayed onto the curtain as it was lifting up The letter of abdication given to 'Queen Elizabeth II' (qv) gives her title as "Elizabeth the second, of Great Britain, Ireland and the British dominions.

" The Queen is monarch of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The Republic of Ireland is now a separate sovereign state, the head of state of which is the President of Ireland.

When climbing the ladder to Sauvage's castle, a tattoo is visible at the base of 'Natalie Imbruglia' (qv)'s back.

At the fight scene in the Abbey for Sauvage's crowning the stunt double falls to the floor and the tattoo is missing.

When the crown jewels are returned to the police station.

The Police station has a sign saying "City of London Police", on the news report it says "The crown jewels were returned to a police station in north London".

However the 'City of London' police only patrol within 'the square mile' in the centre of Greater London.

North London would refer to northern Greater London, which is covered by the Metropolitan Police.

Even if the City of London police station was in the north of the square mile, no-one would refer to it as north London as it's such a small area.

After English and Bough exchange fire with Klein and Vendetta after the dark tunnel sequence and the thugs throw a smoke grenade to blind the agents, Klein gets into the hearse and drives away, but Vendetta isn't seen getting into the hearse nor he is seen inside through the window after Klein gets in but when the car chase sequence begins both thugs are in the hearse, with Klein driving it.

The powers of the British Crown are depicted inaccurately.

It's a comedy, not a documentary.

In the graveyard scene, when Johnny asks the grieving granny 'do you get paid extra for that?' and in the next cut, he has moved about 4 or 5 feet away from her instantly (possibly a deleted scene) When Johnny enters the hospital, the two nurses that join the doctor are behind or alongside the doctor.

In the next shot, the nurses are in front of the doctor When the DVD is put on during Pascal's coronation, Johnny is holding the toothbrushes red above blue, playing the guitar.

When the camera goes back to him afterwards, before he starts singing, they have swapped positions (blue above red).

Rowan is frustrating. He is one of the funniest men on any screen large or small but he insists on giving the world outside BBC his B through Z grade stuff.

Johnny English is not the most intelligent movie ever made in the world and certainly not the greatest comedy film of the century. Though when you look at parody films Jonny English has to be the best one ever.

Johnny English is what it promises to be – an amusing and light-heard film. But what would you expect from Rowan Atkinson, the actor in Mr Bean?

Silly plot, a bit boring to be honest but is very creative with a twist and made up for by the cast and individual jokes, like the opening scene, bloody fantastic!Rowan Atkinson and Ben Miller are hilarious and have such great screen chemistry, the actor playing the villain was quite good too.

An over smart but unintelligent MI-5 spy found the real culprit behind the robbery of jewel from England. He chased the robber but found it very difficult to capture him.

I laughed and had a fun time with this movie.

Decided to check what lane IMBD naggers have rated this movie. Super underrated, hilarious.

This movie really funny for the first time i see it. Of course because Rowan.

I watched this so much during my childhood, it's a fantastic film.recently got to watch this the other night and it lives up still perfectly!
