When Damon asks Mindy what she wants for her birthday, she puts the spoon from her sundae into the bowl.

In the next shot, it's back in her hand.

When the teens are comparing Kick-Ass and Red Mist in the comic store, it is raining outside.

When Katie and David go outside, the sky is clear and the streets have no signs of recent rain.

Red Mist operates an iPhone while wearing gloves.

Many gloves have static tips on the fingers, allowing use of static-based touch-screen devices, including the iPhone.

When David and his parents are at the breakfast table, a carton of Clover-Stornetta milk is on the table.

The film is set in New York; that brand is only sold in parts of California.

At the end, a view from a Brooklyn rooftop shows the sun rising over Manhattan.

The sun rises in the east, so it would never rise over Manhattan from that perspective.

When Kick-Ass leaves home to meet with Red Mist for the first time, he leaves his front door wide open.

In the previous scene, his father had left for work.

When Dave uses his MacBook, the Apple logo isn't lit up, even thought the computer is supposed to be switched on and in use.

When Frank D'Amico is interrupted by a telephone call, he is training on a Jong (wooden dummy), which is used primarily in Chinese martial arts.

He's also wearing a karate Gi, which is used in Japanese martial arts.

Many martial artists cross-train between arts.

Studying karate wouldn't prevent him from using a Jong for striking.

During Kick-Ass' first mission, he is hit by the car just after the car thief stabs him.

The scene cuts to Dave in an ambulance, where a paramedic puts a neck brace on Dave after he is on the stretcher.

Patients with suspected neck injuries are supposed to be fitted with a neck brace before they are loaded onto a stretcher.

Kick-Ass orders a plain green wet suit online, but it arrives with yellow trim.

Like other clothing sold online, the picture shows one example of the style.

On the ordering page, Green/Yellow Trim is indicated under "Select Style.

" When Hit-Girl breaks into Frank d'Amico's apartment, the computer screen on Frank's desk disappears when he and Red Mist are waiting in the office.

The screen reappears in following scenes.

When Hit-Girl throws two knives at the gangster, they are an inch or two apart.

When the gangster falls, the knives are much farther apart.

When Kick-Ass and Red Mist meet Big Daddy and Hit-Girl at the safe house, the boom mic is visible when they're standing in the door, at the top of the screen.

Red Mist plugs the red and white audio component cables into the bear and the TV, yet he gets both audio and video.

The red cable is attached to the bear's yellow (video) port.

Since the cables are identical, the red cable on the other end could have been used for the video feed.

Briefly in the window of a passing taxi as Dave and his friends cross the street to Atomic Comics.

When Mindy pulls the mushroomed slug from her body armor and drops it on the cement, it makes the bright, tinkling sound of an empty brass cartridge.

When Marcus reads the comic explaining the rise of Big Daddy and Hit Girl, a photo of Red Mist is on the wall, but at that point of the story Red Mist doesn't exist yet.

When Damon shoots Mindy to prepare her to take a bullet while wearing a bulletproof vest, it causes a small bullet hole in the jacket she wears over the vest.

It's hard to see because of the jacket's color.

Later, the jacket and Mindy's hair hide the three bullet holes.

About six minutes in, a shot shows a comic book in Marty's hand.

In the next shot, the comic book is on the table, and Marty's hand is on his lap.

When Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl land on a roof before they unmask themselves, Hit-Girl has knuckledusters on both hands when they are in the air.

As soon as they land, both knuckledusters are gone.

While Todd, Marty and Dave were sitting and talking at the booth in the comic store, Marty was reading the comic book.

When the camera changed to show Chris arriving, the comic was down on the table.

When Damon shot Mindy in the chest, she initially fell with her left arm above her head, then when the camera angle changes she had both arms down by her side.

During the live execution of Kick-Ass and Big Daddy, blood drips onto Kick-Ass's costume after he is beat up.

When the thugs pour kerosene onto the floor under Kick-Ass and Big Daddy, the blood is gone.

At the warehouse, a goon stares at a text message on his phone for a few seconds, then makes a call.

When Red Mist shows his father the video from the bear, the goon barely seems to look at the message before making the call.

When Red Mist sends the message from the Mist Mobile on his iPhone, the red exclamation mark appears indicating that the message couldn't be sent.

However, his message is still received.

During the fight outside the diner, Fight Guy #1's hat vanishes during some late shots.

Most of the New York license plates are the blue-on-white style in use since 2001, but some are blue-on-orange, which was discontinued in 1986.

New York started reissuing "retro" blue-on-orange plates in April 2010, but they are a new style, with a blue band across the top, not the 1980s style seen in this film.

During the live "Unmasking of Kick-Ass" webcast, kerosene is splashed all over the floor beneath Kick-Ass and Big Daddy's chairs.

When the kerosene under Big Daddy's chair is lit, the fire doesn't spread.

The video camera streaming The Unmasking of Kick-Ass in color goes black after Hit Girl takes out the lights.

We assume the audience sees the ensuing gunfight due to the fire under Big Daddy and then Hit Girl's flashing light.

When Hit Girl shoots her light, extinguishes the fire, and goes to shoot out the camera, the broadcast is in night vision mode.

In close-ups, none of the vehicles have New York inspection stickers, which should be in the left-hand corner of the windshield, or registration stickers, which should be next to the inspection sticker.

When Dave rubs self-tanning lotion on Katie, they're both in their underwear.

Dave has no scars, despite surviving numerous operations involving metal plates and rods.

When Kick-Ass meets Red Mist in the car park, the car's logo from the windscreen is reflected directly onto Kick-Ass's chest, as if a light was shining at the front of the car.

The only light is coming from lamp posts high above.

When Dave goes to meet Red Mist one more time, he rides his bike toward the sunrise.

His shadow is on his left.

If he rides toward the sun, his shadow should be directly behind him.

When Marcus reads the comic explaining the rise of Big Daddy and Hit-Girl, the final pictures of the cartoon do not match those in the comic book Marcus holds a few seconds later.

That is because we were seeing a stylized interpretation of the picture "coming to life" into Marcus' imagination.

When Frank reads the newspaper story about the murder of the Kick-Ass impersonator, the second and third columns show the same article copied twice.

However, this copies a common gimmick in comic panels.

When Big Daddy enters the room after Marcus breaks in, he clears the handgun, ejecting an "empty" shell casing, not a live round.

When Dave takes a call from Katie at the Needle Exchange as he is leaving the house, his cell phone has a Orange telecommunications company logo, indicating that the phone has been SIM-locked and sold through the company.

Orange operates in many parts of the world, notably the UK where the film was largely shot, but not in the United States.

When Red Mist shows off the mist makers on his car, the night sky can be seen through the rear windshield.

Seconds later, pedestrians wave in bright daylight and a bluish morning sky appears through the rear windshield and above the car.

As they drive, the sky turns black again.

When Sgt.

Marcus Williams enters Damon's secret gun room, he is wearing his uniform's hat.

When he takes a seat at the desk, his hat is already next to him on the desk, but he never took it off.

In the final scenes, when Kick-Ass and Hit Girl are flying away, a grenade is on Hit Girl's jacket.

When they land, the grenade is gone.

When the guy comes out of the bathroom at Rasul's, the cigarette in his mouth disappears and reappears.

When Red Mist shows the Nanny Cam Teddy to Frank, the boom mic is reflected in the television during the close-up of Mark Strong.

When Red Mist first tries to ambush Kick-Ass, he stops the car on the road, runs to the warehouse, and finds it on fire.

Nobody moves the car, yet it is gone when D'Amico arrives.

After Hit Girl in schoolgirl uniform shoots her way into the lobby of Damico's building, she pulls her roller suitcase and sets it near the elevator perpendicular to the wall.

Then Hit Girl is shown at a different angle, and the suitcase is now at an angle and almost parallel to the wall.

When Kick-Ass comes out of the bathroom, Hit Girl points the machine gun straight at him.

Right after Kick-Ass says, "you can't take that stuff to my house", Hit Girl raises the gun to point it at Kick-Ass.

In the hallway, Hit Girl dramatically reloads both pistols in slow motion.

She takes three shots total before the pistols run out of ammo.

Then she throws the guns away and takes one from the next criminal.

Hit Girl loaded the magazines herself earlier in the film; she may have ran out of bullets.

The EMTs that responded to Dave's accident put a neck brace on him once he was in the ambulance and they'd removed his superhero mask.

EMTs assess c-spine injuries at the scene; they would never transfer a person to an ambulance without a neck brace if he needed one.

When Red Mist and Kick-Ass pull up to Frank's Lumber Yard, the Mustang has scissor doors.

When Kick-Ass gets in the car to go meet Hit Girl and Big Daddy, the car doors are normal.

When they arrive at the meeting spot, the car has scissor doors again.

In the DVD commentary, the director explained that the car had doors that opened either way.

Red Mist's car doesn't have a front license plate, which is illegal in New York.

When Marcus drops Mindy off at school the reflections of the steadicam and steadicam operator are visible in the car door.

Toronto street signs are reflected in the windows of Frank D'Amico's limo as he stalks 'Kick-Ass'.

After Sal is killed, Louis shows Frank D'Amico the photo Louis took on his phone just before he died.

Above the photo it says 7 of 10 but it was the last photo he took before he died.

In the Kick-Ass unmasking shootout scene, Hit-Girl's point of view is too high.

She is a relatively small child, but the night-vision shots, supposedly from her point-of-view, show the height of the shooter to be roughly that of the full-grown victims.

When Kick-Ass and Hit Girl depart by jet-pack after killing Frank D'Amico at the end of the film they are initially flying down University Avenue in Toronto, before the footage cuts to NYC.

Canadian flags and the provincial legislature are visible in the background.

As Frank is about to shoot Mindy, he says, "Time for a family reunion.

" However, Frank has no (confirmed) awareness of Hit Girl's relationship to Big Daddy (her father), nor of her deceased mother.

When Frank takes Stu's gun to kill the Kick-Ass impersonator, he pulls it from a holster on Stu's right shoulder, meaning that Stu is a left-handed shooter.

Later, in the fight in Frank's apartment, we see Stu with his handgun as a right-handed shooter.

This violent, exciting, R-rated, cinematic adaptation of Mark Millar's radical graphic novel about a tyke-sized babe in a mask, cape, and a skirt with a sharp pig-sticker is a total blast. Talk about demented hilarity!

Its a good movie but the problem is the fact that trough all the movie the director attempt to show a realistic life of a teenage that have the dream to be a superhero ... and then near the end of the movie the fight scene + the way they escaped and managed to survive is like completely impossible and by the way STUPID !

Cinema today has become over saturated enough as it is with superhero flicks, be it Marvel, DC or anything else less mainstream. So it's quiet refreshing that they're willing to bring more cult classics onto the big screen.

If you are going to watch this film for no other reason, watch it for the music. the score is perhaps the most stirring and wonderful piece of music for any film, ever.

Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson) is an unnoticed high school student and comic book fan who one day decides to become a super-hero, even though he has no powers, training or meaningful reason to do so.Shortest review I ever wrote: Lyndsy Fonseca was great as Katie Deauxma, and I would like to see more of her.

When it comes to Nicholas Cage, his recent movies have not usually been big hits. The movies ThevSoreceror's Apprentice and Season of the Witch were both awful.

This an action comedy film addressed to younger audiences, heavy on gruesome violence and gleeful profanity.Main star is 12 y.

This film is about a nerdy high school misfit trying to be the coolest kid by becoming a superhero."Kick Ass" is quite a refreshing change from the established superhero movies, as there are not so many unconventional teenage superhero movies around.

With no powers comes no responsibility..except that's not always true....
