When Nick punches Clyde in the face, one shot shows Clyde's mouth and teeth filled with blood, his teeth are red.

The next shot is Nick saying another line, then they go directly back to Clyde and he is speaking and there is no blood whatsoever on his face or teeth.

Nick calls Clyde "Clive" at one point.

The asparagus, which Clyde Shelton is eating in the jail scene, changes sizes between several shots.

During a lethal injection scene three plungers are seen being pressed by a machine to inject the drugs, each in under one second.

The largest peripheral venous catheters available have a maximum flow of about 350 ml per minute.

The displayed amount of liquids could never have been administered in that short time.

When Nick Rice is on his Mac, the software he is shown using is Windows Vista, not OSX.

All modern Macs can dual-boot, and run Windows natively, so Rice's Mac running Vista is not in error.

When confessing to the murder of Darby, Clyde says one of the tortures was to cut off his toes with with tin snips, yet in the video the first act of torture is to cut his leg off with a circular saw.

However, this was probably to invalidate the confession Clyde gave and hence allow him to broker a further deal against a later confession.

When Darby is running across the roofs, the path which he is taking is already shoveled.

However, this could all have been set up in advance by Clyde, whom we know to be a brilliant tactician.

When you first see Darby on the table about to be tortured, Clyde moves about the end of the table.

as he does he brushes up against Darby's foot and you can see the foot and end of the leg wobble revealing that is is made of rubber.

A cellist would never touch the hair of the bow.

It's easily damaged by oils on the skin.

When Jonas is killed at Sarah's funeral, the Chevy Tahoes driving away are hybrids.

Tahoe Hybrids run entirely on electric motors at low speeds, and as such there would be no engine sound.

During the scene where Nick Rice is flying in a helicopter to rescue Bill Reynolds the helicopter has a "N94PD" call-sign on the side of it and the pilot calls out on the radio "N94PD" but when the copter lands it has a "N95PD" call-sign on its side.

When Clyde is eating the asparagus in his jail cell, the crunching sounds are abnormally loud, do not exactly match his biting motions, and are obviously Foley'ed in.

Throughout the film Clyde is being held in a maximum security prison complete with solitary confinement, convicted inmates, and a warden.

Pre-trial, suspects are held in a county jail, not a prison.

Clyde ordered french fries (pommes frites) to go with this steak as part of his deal, however, came lunch time, no fries were served.

The bomb found in City Hall at the end of the movie is based on Napalm (Malaglinite which is not a real explosive compound).

This would have little effect on the structure of the building and would have done nothing more than set fire to the building (as you can see from the final scene).

This would give time for the Mayor to escape.

The SEMTEX found in Clyde's hideout would have produced the desired result of destroying the building and would have made more sense to use.

When they find the bomb in City Hall, Garza says the bomb has a 30 second delay, but this is just a guess.

Nick would have no way of knowing that the 30 second delay was true.

So when he confronts Clyde back at the prison, doesn't know when the bomb will function after Clyde makes his final phone call.

It could have functioned straight away, killing them both.

Assuming the movie takes place in 2009, the seventh generation Honda Accord (introduced in 2003) seen behind Clyde as Clyde watches Nick shaking Darby's hand during the press conference in 1999 would not have existed.

Clyde states that Darby will only do five years for third degree murder, he's technically accuratethat is the minimum sentence for a defendant with absolutely no criminal history.

However, under Pennsylvania law a single felony in the defendant's criminal history would raise that to a 7 1/2 year minimum.

Assuming that the judge gave them the 7.

5 - 15 year minimum, that would only make them eligible for parole after 7.

5 years, no guarantee that they'd be released.

Additionally, the judge has the authority to exceed those, and is not bound by any plea agreement.

District Attorneys in Pennsylvania are elected county officials, and ADA's (assistant district attorneys) like Nick are county employees.

The mayor of a city such as Philadelphia has no authority to fire an ADA, or promote an ADA to the position of county District Attorney.

Such personnel decisions would rest solely in the hands of the county board of supervisors.

Darby is said to have served three years at Marion.

Marion Penitentiary is a federal prison, which means that the only inmates there are convicted of federal offenses.

Third degree murder (of a civilian, at least) is a state-prosecuted crime, so he would never have been sent to Marion.

As Clyde gives Nick and his legal team until 6:00 to release him the camera shows the clock turning to 6:00 for dramatic effect.

Then seconds later when nothing has happened yet Sarah's watch is set five minutes fast.

When Darby is running to the cop car, about 20 minutes into the movie, you can see exhaust from the Police Interceptor coming from the tail-pipes, but when he tells the "cop" to start the car, he turns the ignition to start the motor.

In the recital scenes, it is obvious that the cello shown on screen is not making the music being heard.

At the first recital the bowing does not match, and at the second the finger placement is wrong.

In the death penalty scene it appears to take place at the Philadelphia prison.

However, in the state of PA, all executions take place at Rockview.

That prison is located in Central PA, approximately 4 hours to the west of Philadelphia.

When the waiter from Del Friscos hands the steak over, he says "Porterhouse, medium rare.

" Clyde ordered the steak medium.

Correctional officers of the PA Department or Corrections wear gray and black uniform shirts, not white.

White is reserved for lieutenants and higher ranks.

The instant the neurotoxin hit Darby's system he would have fallen down due to being paralyzed.

He would not have been able to just stand there, motionless, as muscles are still used when standing still.

He also would not be shaking while laying on the table, even when Clyde injected the adrenaline.

Clyde says the venom he uses to inject his second victim with, using the trick gun, is Tetrodotoxin.

This venom, known as TTX, is indeed found in puffer-fish (among other sea animals) and can paralyze humans while allowing them to remain conscious.

However, the effects take from 20 minutes to four hours to appear and normally include severe respiratory paralysis, especially in large doses.

Any person having TTX injected "straight into the bloodstream", as Clyde claims, would suffocate to death within minutes.

The only way in which he would have possibly kept his victim alive was by using a mechanical respirator.

The camera in the interrogation room/cage does not have a cable in it.

However, the camera could very well be broadcasting a wireless signal, as any loose cable could be cut/unplugged to break the signal, or used as a weapon in the possession of a prisoner.

The uniform Shelton takes from the cop who was kidnapped and locked in the trunk has "31" badges on the collar indicating the 31st police district.

Philadelphia doesn't have a 31st district.

When Clyde is in prison eating his meal he is handcuffed to the bunk, but at about 48th minute he is uncuffed.

When Clyde throws the keys to the cop tied up in the trunk of the police car, he closes the trunk, where a license plate saying "MONTREAL" is clearly visible.

The movie takes place in Philadelphia.

The Montreal skyline is also visible during many shots.

During the first court room scene a smoke machine can be seen in the background.

When Nick and Clyde are in court before the Judge, Nick repeatedly refers to his government as "The State".

Pennsylvania is a Commonwealth and is referred to as such when speaking in the third person in court.

Overall, this is an enjoyable leave your brain at the door thriller, but for me, it's like the director lost their nerve at going the whole hog with the violence.Apart from a couple of brief moments, even the directors cut seems to shy away from what you expect to be shown.

Law Abiding Citizen is an amazing movie. It keeps you guessing and interested through ought the entire movie, up until the ending.

OK so this is a rather intense thriller with Gerard Butler as the victim of a heinous crime turning him into a blind vengeful and dangerous murderer. And Jamie Foxx as a district-attorney trying to stop the murders.

I went into the movie seeing it's rated good in IMDb and I was disappointed, but not too the very end from the beginning but at the very end. The pretext is nothing new, an angry, driven and extremely smart man trying to bring the system down for injustice he perceives.

I enjoyed watching this movie. It is one of those movies that will keep you on your toes from start to finish.

My first reaction to this film was to fault what seems like an unsatisfactory end to a story that builds up its attack on flawed judicial systems with their preoccupation with career, politics, anything but justice. I still feel it fails to a point but I do understand the final reasoning a little better.

This film would be a classic one, if and only if Clyde wasn't portrayed as the antagonist. The fact of the matter is, he's right.

When I was young, I wanted to change this system. I wanted to fight and do my best at all costs.

But the forms of assignation are about as preposterous as you can possibly imagine. Suspend disbelief?
