The Now and Laters seen in this movie have had that logo since the early 1990s.

The movie takes place during the early 1980s.

_Xybots (1987) (VG)_ (qv) was released in 1987.

The movies takes place in 1983.

When the Policeman is breaking down the door to enter Abby's apartment there is quite a bit of damage done to the door, especially around the area of the door handle, but as he enters the apartment with his gun raised the door appears to have no damage at all.

When Owen is rescued from the bullies at the pool and Abby kills them all, we see blood flooding down over Owen.

When Owen gets up and is looking up at Abby, the bloody water is suddenly gone.

When the disfigured Thomas leans forward to Abby on the hospital window ledge, the camera angle shows he is a mere inches from Abby - as if they were about to kiss goodbye.

When the camera angle switches, they are almost arm's length apart.

On the bus to the ice-pond, Owen is wearing a winter cap where the top half is yellow.

When he gets off the bus, and the bully tells him he's going for a swim, his hat is now all dark colors.

When the Policeman breaks down the door to Abby's house, he is holding a 1911-type pistol.

This sort of weapon is single-action, which means the hammer must be cocked before it can fire.

The hammer is in the forward/down position the whole time, meaning he was entering what he knew to be a dangerous situation with a weapon that would not fire if he pulled the trigger.

When Kenny, Mark and Donald first confront Owen at the ice pond, Mark's hands are out of his jacket.

When the camera angles to show Kenny, Mark and Donald's faces, Mark's hands are suddenly in his jacket.

As Owen reaches for some Now and Later candies in the store, boxes of Sour Patch Kids can be seen.

The movie is set in 1983.

Sour Patch Kids weren't available in the US until 1985.

- PLOTIn the first hospital scene the policeman is not out of the room long enough for the events in the second version of that scene (Abby visiting her "father" Thomas) to take place.
