Max's seatbelt when in the car with Audrey.

Moments after Fletcher's watch reads 8:45, it indicates 6:45.

At the airport, all the cuts on Fletcher's face are gone.

The Tower plane that Fletcher chases is a Boeing 747, but the interior shots are not of a wide-bodied plane.

At Max's birthday party at the end of the movie, Audrey's shadow does not fall on the wall behind her where it should have if the light was really coming from the candles on the cake.

In court, during dialog between Fletcher and Samantha.

When Fletcher was lying on his sofa in his office, his tie was under his arm.

A couple shots later, it was hanging across his chest.

When Fletcher gets thrown onto the luggage carts at the end of the movie, his facial cuts are not the same before and after the crash.

The airport's callsign should be "Los Angeles Tower" or "Los Angeles Ground" instead of "Control 84".

As for the airline, Tower Air, its radio callsign in real life is "Tee Air", and not "Tower".

When Fletcher encounters Miranda in the elevator, and flees through the stairwell, the false wall labeled "21st Floor Roof Access" visibly shakes as he bounces off it.

The toilet noticeably flexes when Fletcher smashes his head between it and the seat.

When Audrey tells Jerry about "the Claw", she's holding her right arm when seen from behind, but her left arm (almost at the wrist) when seen from the front.

Right before he gets pulled over by the police, Fletcher passes the same maroon Ford Taurus twice.

When Audrey is about to put candles on Max's Birthday cake, she takes the candles out of the box and puts them on the counter.

In the next shot they're in the cake.

The position of Max's arms before he blows out his candles.

When Fletcher was pounding himself on the marble wall, the wall shakes revealing that the bathroom was a set.

When Fletcher tore his blazer on his left shoulder, his hand went forward, but the rip went backwards.

Later outside and back to court, his shoulder pad was out.

When he ripped it in the bathroom, it was a small rip and not a big rip.

When Fletcher gets his car towed and arrives at his wife's house in a taxi, he throws cash at the driver from the back seat.

The sound does not match the throwing of the cash.

When Fletcher goes to the bathroom to beat himself up, he is clearly wearing a different suit than in the courtroom.

The jugs used by Fletcher in the courtroom and by the flight attendant on the plane to Boston are the same, appearing overly matching.

When Fletcher is chasing the airplane down the taxi way the aircraft shown is a Boeing 747, which in coach has 3-4-3 seating across each row.

However, the interior shots in the plane show just a 3-3 configuration, which would indicate the plane is of some more common domestic variety (Boeing 757, 737, Airbus A320, etc).

747s are almost never used in US domestic flights, only international.

Audrey takes Max's birthday cake directly out of the box and sets it on the edge of the table.

In the next shot it's in the same position, but after that it's on top of a clear plate, and more in the center of the table.

She never got a plate or lifted the cake.

After Samantha Cole leaves Miranda's office following her introduction to Fletcher, Miranda tells Fletcher that Samantha's case is worth a lot of money to the firm.

The viewer is lead to believe that the firm is being paid a contingency fee since the viewer soon learns that a settlement offer has been made and refused.

If the firm were accepting a flat fee, the amount of Samantha's settlement would be irrelevant, and there would be no need to bring Fletcher in to replace the attorney who refused unethical behavior earlier in the movie.

Attorneys are barred from accepting divorce cases on a contingency basis, unless it is a suit to recover past due alimony or child support.

- PLOTFletcher literally cannot tell a lie.

Yet while talking on the phone with Audrey about Max in school, he tells that he was "certain the case would settle" and it didn't so he had to be in court.

This is a lie because he never had any intention of settling the case.

Although he tried to settle as a panicked last ditch effort to get out of trouble, he was never "certain" the case would settle.

When Fletcher grabs a pen off of his desk and attempts to lie about its color, the cap mysteriously disappears.

Fletcher asks "Who else would throw that famous Nomo slider?" 'Hideo Nomo' (qv) was famous for his 2-fingered fast ball (Forkball), not his slider.

(at around 1 min) As Fletcher's family walk through the crowd of people towards him, 'Jim Carrey' (qv) is seen dressed as a fireman on a walkie talkie laughing.

This is an in-joke relating to Carrey's Fire Marshal Bill from _"In Living Color" (1990)_ (qv).

When Fletcher calls Mrs.

Cole to the stand to testify, she is not sworn in.

This does not discount the possibility that a previous hearing in the court allowed her to be sworn in, which means that, by law, the same swearing in as earlier still applies.

When Fletcher is chasing the 747 down the runway, the plane is almost ready to take off.

This means it is still taxiing to the end of the runway, giving Fletcher more than enough time to keep up with it and stop it.

The call saying they are ready to take off comes right before Fletcher throws the shoe, which would've put it at that impossible speed.

When Kenneth Falk is called to the stand, he simply gets up and walks to the stand.

However, if a witness is to be called to the stand, they must be called in from outside the courtroom, except in the case where the witness arrived prior to their being called.

Falk did just that as, seeing he was introduced by Mrs.

Cole in the previous scene, and they were going through what he should say, it's clear Falk did not actually sit in on any part of the other side's presentations.

When pulled over by the motorcycle cop Fletcher admits to unpaid parking tickets and opens the glove box of the car and the tickets all fall out.

This is impossible since the Mercedes SL series including Fletcher's SL500 never were fitted with glove boxes because of interior space limitations.

The dashboard shown in this scene is from a difference series of Mercedes cars.

While Fletcher is pursuing the plane during taxiing (taxiing is evident from a shot showing another plane ahead of it), Audrey asks for, and receives, an alcoholic beverage.

No airline would ever give a passenger a drink of any sort until reaching cruise altitude.

When Fletcher is fighting with the blue pen he starts wiping his face off, leaves some on there, falls to the floor and comes up with his face clean.

- PLOTJust before Greta storms out of the firm, she asks Fletcher of the unfair ruling in favor a burglar who'd broken into her friend's house, "Is that justice?" After Fletcher's reply shocks her, he frantically tells her that he didn't understand the question.

By all accounts, this is a lie.

When Fletcher is chasing the airplane with the portable stairs, the plane is taxiing to the end of the runway where it will turn around and take off.

In the background an airplane is seen landing going in the same direction as this taxiing plane.

Aircraft take off and land going in the same direction, thus the landing aircraft should be landing the other way.

Samantha's husband's lawyer presents a tape recording to be used against Samantha in court.

Tape recordings are not admissible as evidence in a court of law, even though the content of the tape is irrelevant in Mrs.

Cole's case.

During the courtroom scene, Fletcher drinks 5 glasses of water.

But the amount of water in the pitcher stays the same.

Fletcher literally cannot tell a lie.

Yet when he goes to max's school and ask's his class teacher "can I borrow him for just 1 second", clearly he knows it's a lie as he planned to cut cake with his son, which will obviously take at-least 5-10 minutes.

Contracts with a minor are considered voidable, not void ab initio.

A minor who enters into a contract can choose to avoid it, but if she turns 18, she only has a limited window in which to declare the intention to avoid the contract.

This window is usually six months; for marriage in California, it is two years; past this window, the contract is considered ratified and must be executed.

Given Samantha Cole's age at the time of the divorce hearing, both her marriage AND the prenup should have been considered ratified.

However, even if the marriage were valid but the prenup not, her husband clearly states that he "didn't know she was a minor!" At this point he could probably get an annulment on the grounds of fraud, reverting Samantha to status quo ante matrimonium - i.

, legally in possession of none of his wealth.

With grimaces hand gestures and rubber body you have 1,30 hour of fun.One of Carrey's best from the director of pet detective.

If you were to read the screenplay for "Liar, Liar", you would have thought this would be a mainstream comedy: some good jokes, but also predictable. However, Jim Carrey's acting really lifted this movie up to the rank of great comedy: the first great scene is where he first suspects that he cannot lie and tries to write down that his blue pen is red (or the other way round, I can't remember) and he can't do it.

Fletcher Reede (Jim Carrey) is a fast talking attorney, and he is an amazing perpetual liar. He is divorced from his wife Audrey (Maura Tierney).

Liar liar is a movie that i really enjoy, it's about a man named Fletcher (played by Jim Carry) who is a lying layer, but when his son wishes that he could only tell the truth, Fletcher discovers that he can't lie at all for 24 hours. It's funny and silly as Fletcher tries to lie, but can't.

This movie has a little bit of everything. Comedy, drama, and family.

(feb 20th, 2020)hinges on a (truly) great performance from jim carrey. the drama is actually kind of present but isn't immediately effective until it starts to become something more important to the storyline.

This is a pretty good comedy with Jim Carry as Fletcher Reede, a fast-talking attorney who has to tell the truth for one full day. He promised his son, Max (Justin Cooper) that he would not tell a lie for 24 hours.

Liar Liar. The scene in the lift was worth the price of admission alone.

Jim Carry in this film is a master at making films. I can't "LIA" In the whole film he didn't Lie about anything.
