When Donna sings "Mamma Mia" above the 'old goat's house', the amount of dust and dirt on her knees changes between shots.

During "Chiquitita", the amount of liquid in Tanya's glass changes between shots.

When Donna repairs the shutter with a cordless drill, the chuck has no bit, making repair impossible.

The empty chuck is visible in subsequent scenes with the same drill.

Just before Donna sings "I Do", the teleprompter screen is clearly reflected in Rosie's glasses.

During the dancing scene on the beach, a decanter and ice bucket are on the bar.

When the camera angle changes, the items move.

At the beach bar, during "Does your Mother Know", a dancer in the background wears sunglasses in one shot.

They disappear and reappear in subsequent shots.

During "Chiquitita", Donna's friends force a beverage to Donna's lips.

Though Donna acts like she is choking on the drink, the liquid never gets beyond the bottom half of the glass.

On the boat, during "Our Last Summer", Sophie sits next to Bill, holding a picture of him in her hands.

In the close-up, Bill is holding the photo.

When Donna repairs the dolphin mosaic with the caulking gun, the tip breaks off of the tube.

In subsequent shots, the tip is intact.

During one song, an extra is up a ladder, which is pulled out from underneath him, leaving him hanging from the window ledge.

In the close-up, a safety wire is visible, going out of his clothes and up into the window.

On the way up to the goat house, the upper left sleeve of Harry's shirt has an oil or sweat stain.

In the following shots, the stain is gone.

When the orchestra begins after the initial verse during Harry's "Our Last Summer", the chords he plays on the guitar don't match the music.

When Donna, Rosie, and Tanya are on the sofa, Donna tries to get up, and Tanya forces her to sit down.

Donna emits a high-pitched laugh, but her mouth never moves.

When Sophie and her bridesmaids are trying on their dresses, she uses safety pins to shorten the chain straps.

When Sky comes in, the pins are no longer visible.

When Donna runs out to her friends who are getting of the boat, her arms are in the air in the rear shot, then at her sides in the front shot.

When Sam, Bill, and Harry first arrive at the Villa, they all seem known about Donna's daughter.

Later, before "Dancing Queen," Donna says she never told any of the men about Sophie.

We can assume that Sophie's name was on the invitations.

As "Lay your Love on Me" transforms into Sophie's bachelorette party, cast members hold Sophie up and she drinks from a bottle, then throws it.

After she throws it, they lay her on her back and her hair falls off her shoulders.

In the following close-up shot, her hair falls off her shoulders again.

During "Lay All Your Love on Me", the close-ups of Sophie and Sky's embrace reveal a black waistline, meaning Sophie's lower body is fully clothed.

When Tanya, Rosie, and Donna are singing "Dancing Queen" in the bedroom, Tanya comes up with a silver hair dryer.

In the next shot, when she is standing up, the hair dryer is blue.

When Sky hugs Tanya for the first time, Donna says 'And all true!' yet her mouth movements don't match.

In "Does Your Mother Know", Tanya enters the bar barefoot, and her shoes are visible in her bag.

In the next dance scene, she's wearing the shoes.

When Donna enters the chapel with her daughter, Donna's shawl is off her shoulder.

In the next shot, from the rear, the shawl is over her shoulder.

When Donna kisses Sam after she says "I do," she only has a ring on her pinky.

After the kiss she puts the wedding ring on her opposite hand and kisses Sam again.

Now the ring is still on her pinky, and another ring is on the next finger.

Just after Tanya and Rosie arrive, Donna takes the laundry down and says "You'd think they would figure out a machine that would make the beds.

" Her mouth doesn't move during part of the sentence.

When the guys take Sky away to his bachelor party, they dance on the dock before diving into the water.

The boat anchored off the dock appears and disappears between shots.

In the beginning of "The Winner Takes It All", Donna sings while holding her hands together.

In the next shot, her arms are along her body.

Tanya is barefoot when she gets out of the paddle boat.

When she grabs her towel, she is still barefoot.

Halfway through "Does Your Mother Know", she is wearing the same silver flats she wore on the dock when Donna pushed her into the water.

During "Lay All Your Love on Me", when the camera is on Sky's back as he draws near Sophie, his mouth moves twice without him singing.

For at least 30 years, 'ABBA' (qv) and their fans have sung "My my, at Waterloo, Napoleon did surrender.

"'Napoléon Bonaparte' (qv) retreated from Waterloo in June 1815, attempted to hold his army together for a month, then traveled to the European coast, where he surrendered to the British Navy.

Sophie has flowers in her hair when she gets ready for the wedding.

The flowers disappear and reappear, in varying amounts, between shots.

"Our Last Summer," includes the lyric "that was the time of the flower power," which is usually a reference to the late 1960s.

In the same scene, Harry says he traded his 'Johnny Rotten' (qv) tee-shirt to get a guitar for Donna.

Rotten was a member of 'The Sex Pistols' (qv), which formed in 1975.

When Tanya and Rosie are running out of the bathroom at the end of "Chiquitita", Donna makes a noise that sounds like she is spitting out the drink Tanya gave her, but she doesn't spit anything out.

During "Dancing Queen" Tanya's stilettos turn into ballet flats, then back into stilettos in the next scene.

When Donna refers to herself as a "bigamist", she is referring to the fact that she would be marrying a man who, in the eyes of the Catholic Church, is still spiritually married.

Event though legally divorced, the Catholic church would consider him still spiritually married until either the death of his ex-wife ('Til death do us part) or if the church grants an official annulment, which is a lengthy process.

According to traditional Catholisism, a bigamy is considered both marrying two different people and/or marrying someone that is already married.

When Rosie is walking on the top of Bill's boat, the front of her hair is standing up.

In the next shot, it's laying flat.

In the "Lay All Your Love On Me" scene, Sophie advances towards Sky.

Strands of her hair are still in front of her shoulders, but in the next shot all of her hair is pushed back behind her shoulders.

If you want proof of how a movie could be drawn out of thin air just connecting the dots which are really songs in a band's catalog, do the right thing.Choose Beatles and watch Julie Taymor's excellent Across the Universe.

James Bond is a good choice for Mamma Mia! why?

A lot of people love to hate this musical, which is based on the totally singable, danceable music of the 1970s Swedish group Abba. Meryl Streep, perhaps the most celebrated actress of her generation, when cast in this film had already showed the world that she could do just about anything-except maybe sing.

The wildly popular stage success Mamma Mia! finally took its place on the big screen ten years after Broadway showcased ABBA's most beloved songs.

First and most importantly: Those ABBA people are great songwriters. The storyline is compelling, good-feeling and tugs on the right heartstrings…enough to overcome the disappointments which mostly involve the casting of well-known and well-loved but non-musical performers in musical roles.

Romantic escape - bring it on! Amazing music - unforgettable!

This movie was absolutely amazing! I went into watching it with some doubt, having heard from family that the movie was not good, but to be honest it was an amazing, fun-filled film.

Growing up in the 80s, and having a fondness of electro-disco, I love ABBA. I also love movies and especially musicals.

Although "Mamma Mia!" is full with many imperfections, it brings so much happiness that you get out from the cinema desiring to dance and sing the tunes you've just listened during the film, and I think this is a very positive aspect in these trying times.
