Meru

Have already watched it 3 times. ie every year.

I have a love for watching rock climbing films and documentaries. The intensity of the feats they tackle are unreal to me.

I just finished watching Meru for the second time and type this with shaking hands after the cinematography left me emotionally dangling from those knife edge shots. This raw footage with NO reenactments obtained by Jimmy and Renan is unmatched with audio quality equally astounding.

Disappointing cliché. 3 Flat boring characters cannot get enough explaining how difficult there challenge was and how tough they are.

This documentary seemed to me to be about totally selfish immature grown men apparently trying to kill themselves with no regard for their families, loved ones and the emergency resources that are squandered trying to save their lives. These guys did not seem like professionals.

WOW! As soon as the credits rolled - I hit start again and watched- it as intently as I did the first time.

This is one of the finest films about extreme sport I have ever seen. It takes you into the mind of a climber, and what you find is spirituality and madness in equal measure.

I am surprised by the high reviews of this film. I enjoyed this film, but it was good not great.
