I'm not sure how Universal slipped this one past the Bureau of Consumer Protection, but they did. Despite the title's bold claim, this 1954 crime drama features absolutely no nudity or alibis - clothed or unclothed.

Sterling Hayden never got the real respects from the critics, certainly he wasn't fits a handsome guy, although he made some masterpieces as "Asphalt Jungle" "Johnny Guitar" "The Killing", it will be enough to any actor reach a highest standard, but Sterling was ugly and rough,in this little fine Noir he plays an expert tough Cop Chief Convoy, after three detectives under his command be killed on suspicious manners, he stays obsessed over a fact happened a weak early, where a business man Al Willis was arrested, during the enquire he fights at precinct's room and swear an upcoming revenge, he pursued the scary Willis aftermaths, however he extrapolates his duty and was fired of the corporation, having in mind the Willis's guilty he follows the suspect until the Border City where Willis has an affair with a nightclub's singer Marianne, (Grahame), there Convoy starts try find out what's hell Willis is going there, tense and violent Noir that try to expose, a cold mind of a killer and the feeling of a veteran cop, worthwhile spend each cent in this little great movie!!!Resume:First watch: 2020 / How many: 1 / DVD / Rating: 7.

This is a pretty mediocre film noir that is really only notable for a superior level of pouting from Gloria Grahame. Gene Barry ("Willis") is the victim of a false arrest and some police brutality so when he is eventually released from custody he declares his intention on having his revenge.

A somewhat average and virtually unknown B-Movie Noir directed by Jerry Hopper, better known perhaps for his television work and starring Sterling Hayden as the cop investigating the murder of three of his colleagues and Gloria Grahame as a bar-room singer in a US/Mexican bordertown. Neither of them were at their best and while the setting might evoke memories of "Touch of Evil", (still to come by four years), this is certainly not in the same class.

Fired for brutality, an ex-chief detective is convinced of the identity of a man who killed three cops but has no evidence. He tracks the man to a small town in Mexico where, assisted by the suspect's girlfriend, attempts to see that justice is done.

A sultry noir with Sterling Hayden & Gloria Graham directed by Jerry Hopper and written by several writers...it's 86 breakneck minutes of hard-boiled melodrama.

The title "Naked Alibi" is a very strange one, as back in the day you'd never see naked people in mainstream Hollywood films and there is nothing naked whatsoever in the movie. Don't let that stop you from watching it, as it's an excellent and gritty film noir story.

Someone is killing cops, and Chief of Detectives Sterling Hayden settles on baker Gene Barry as the guy who did it. He's sweating Barry, when his wife walks in with a lawyer.

This is an underrated film noir that hasn't gotten much exposure within the genre. Sterling Hayden and Gloria Graham were well known performers in the genre at the time and they both do an excellent job in this film.
