This is Werner Herzog's adaptation of F.W.

The plot is nothing new, as it differs negligibly from the original 1922 film which itself differed negligibly from Stoker's 1897 novel. Harker (Bruno Ganz) is sent by his employer, Renfield (Roland Topor), to Transylvania in order to finalize the the sale of a large estate to Count Dracula (Klaus Kinski).

Klausi Kinski's portrayal is unmatched as the protagonist and Isabelle Adjani is perfect in the her role in look and actions. No AI special effects needed to make such a truly haunting movie.

As a huge fan of horror, and the Dracula film adaptations in particular, I am a fan and I watch all of them. However, if there is one that I would say is my favorite, Werner Herzog's masterwork Nosferatu The Vampre would be it.

It's amazing that nobody seems repulsed by the hideousness of Klaus Kinski's repulsively ugly count Dracula. looking exactly like the monster from the F.

Pro's: The soundtrack throughout is effective and creepy. The monk like humming that plays during a majority of the scenes adds an unnerving sense to the whole thing.

This movie offers viewers another opportunity to experience the Dracula myth. Unfortunately, like the vampires it portrays, "Nosferatu" has not aged well.

I first saw this film in the late nineties, back when AMC's MonsterFest was still awesome. I was around twelve and hadn't seen the original.

Overall this movie completes the story of the original Nosferatu. Its a good remake.
