The Crown Victoria models used in the movie are second generation that were produced from 1998 to 2011, since the movie takes place in 1995, they should be first generation 1995 1998, or Chevrolet Caprice Classic 2nd generation Dade County officially changed its name to Miami-Dade County on November 13, 1997, but throughout the movie we see police cars marked as Miami-Dade.

One of the vehicles purchased with the loot is a Plymouth Prowler.

The Prowler didn't come out until 1997.

When Lugo gets back to the dry cleaners and scolds Doyle for barbequeing the victim's hands outside, they walk back inside to finish chopping up the bodies.

If you look closely you can see that Griga's hand is still attached to his body Danny Lugo is wearing a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses but the lenses are the P model (with polarized lenses) which came out in 2012.

You can clearly see the "P" on the lenses.

The Miami Dolphins jersey worn in the doctor's office didn't come out until 1997, the movie takes place in 1995 - 1996.

This film is my guilty pleasure I have seen it more than 10 times. Loosely based on a true story about 1 man who wanted it all, and roped another two into his vision.

In 1994 a gang of body builders kidnapped and tortured a wealthy man named Marc Schiller over a three week period. Lead by Daniel Lugo, the gang demanded Schiller give up all of his money, his house and sign a number of documents he could not see due to his head being wound in duct tape.

I won't go telling you the story - you can read enough about that, you can watch the movie. But I will tell you about the things I liked about the way the story was told.

Michael Bay turns his attention away from Robots and Explosions, to a smaller scale, murder, blood and muscles caper. Yes it's a true story, as such, with a few details changed and a few others left out to allow for story telling.

This is one of those films that I went into with high expectations and left wishing I could have back those two hours of my life just wasted. How on earth Mark Wahlberg got anywhere near this mess of a script is a complete mystery.

Pain & GainSince prison is more or less a free gym, bodybuilders becoming criminals seems an obvious progression.However, the muscle-heads in this comedy would prefer to be out spending their ill-gotten gains.

Pain & Gain is Michael Bay's bizarre passion project. Upon reading that, you would probably start thinking about all the action sequences that Bay has directed over his career.

7/10 I saw the trailers for this movie and given it was directed by Michael Bay and had Mark Wahlberg starring in it, it would be a dumb action movie. Well, I was wrong and in my opinion the trailers were quite misleading, the marketing team for this movie did not do a very good job.
