When Percy, Annabeth and Grover come to Luke to ask for help he is playing Call of Duty with a Playstation 3 controller while on screen Xbox 360 buttons are seen.

In the scene in Auntie Em's.

Where Annabeth first runs into Medusa, she is wearing a turban.

According to lore, Medusa has a head full of snakes, rather than hair.

In that scene there is a small piece of blonde hair visible peeking out of the right side of the turban.

Uma Thurman has blonde hair.

After Percy enters the Lotus Casino in Vegas, the designs on his blue shirt are suddenly gone.

Pigeons outside the window of Percy's house disappear and reappear between shots.

In the final shot, the leaves on the small trees in front are noticeably being blown by the wind, but the leaves on the taller trees in back are perfectly still.

At Auntie Em's Emporium her lip color changes between scenes from red to purple.

The ancient Grecian Perseus was the son of Zeus, not Poseidon.

However, Percy here isn't supposed to be the Perseus from original mythology; he was given his name in honor of Perseus.

It is revealed in the books and deleted scenes from this movie that Percy's mother had named him after the original Perseus because he was the only demigod to have a happy ending (instead of a tragic death) in hopes that Percy would also have a happy ending.

In one scene, when Percy is new to the camp, he & Chiron are talking alone by the lake.

When the camera is on Chiron, Chiron's arms are folded.

But, when the camera switches to Percy, Chiron's arms are suddenly down.

In the Capture the Flag scene, a warrior of the red team shears off the blue horsehair plume on Percy's helmet with his sword.

However, in all of the following scenes the plume is complete again.

The statue of Athena in the Parthenon in Nashville is not the actual statue.

The real statue is gold plated, has a different headpiece and is holding Nike not a spear.

Annabeth is not able to release her arm from the hand grip of the woman turned into stone by Medusa but when Grover cuts off the stoned statue's arm with his sword, Annabeth is able to remove the stoned hand grip by simply shaking it off although it is clear that it was not broken.

In Greek mythology, satyrs had the ears of a donkey, the tail of a horse, and pug noses.

It was later, in Roman mythology, due to the similarity to fauns, that they took on a goat-like appearance.

Hydras were water serpents - they didn't breathe fire.

Both Percy and Annabeth are teenagers and in a real Las Vegas casino would not have been allowed to roam unaccompanied in the gaming area without someone over the age of 21.

However, Lotus isn't a "real Las Vegas casino," it is an illusion specifically there to detain people, including underage demigods.

In the scene after Percy severs Medusa's head, there is no blood on his sword.

After when walking to meet his friends he is seen wiping blood from it.

The woman who is in Auntie Em's Garden Emporium opens her eyes and turns into stone, her hand is resting on Annabeth's arm, but in the next shot, it is closed tightly around it.

In the beginning when Poseidon and Zeus are speaking, Zeus states that the bolt must be returned by the summer solstice.

With the solstice "fourteen days away" it must be June 7.

This establishes the current seasonsummer.

When Annabeth, Grover, and Percy are in the Underworld, they are greeted by Persephone; however according to Greek myths, Persephone remains in the underworld only during winter.

However, in the sequel books, Persephone stays in the Underworld during summer in order to avoid the war of the gods above ground.

It is therefore possible that Persephone stays in the Underworld during spring/summer.

Since, in the movie, Hades is trying to do battle with his brothers, he might have kept her in the Underworld to likewise keep her out of the war.

However, one thing to consider is Persephone mentioned that she looks forward to her "alloted time" away from the Underworld, which is the summer.

There is no indication Hades kept her down there to protect her.

When Percy sees the final pearl in the Lotus Casino, on the spinner, it is on slot 33.

When Percy picks it up later, it is on slot 15.

While the number did change where the pearl was located, Percy was away from the table to rescue Grover and Annabeth.

It is highly probable that the dealer collected the pearl and spun again as he would in a "regular casino" to keep up the illusion.

The substitute teacher, Mrs.

Dodds, writes, "I understand a fury in your words But not your words" on the blackboard, when the actual line from Othello 4.

2 is, "I understand a fury in your words.

But not the words".

After Percy beheads Medusa, her body is on the ground as Percy is wiping the sword clean.

On her arm is the green pearl in plain sight, but when Percy bends down to pick up her head the pearl is covered by her sleeve.

While the pearl is spinning on the roulette, and the pearl is behind the handle that sticks up, you still see the green pearl reflection as if it never moved.

When Percy is in the Demigod infirmary after the fight with the Minotaur, there is a shield seen leaning against the table next to him as he sleeps.

He is then woken up by Grover, the camera angle return to Percy sitting up, and the shield is gone.

In the books Annabeth prefers to fight with a knife because it was given to her by Luke.

In most of the movie, she fights with a sword until they get to Underworld, then she pulls out her knife.

I've seen the first film. I liked it but the only thing wrong with it was the main characters acting.

Being a huge fan of the books I was so excited when this came out in the cinemas, however I was so disappointed when I eventually got round to watching it. It has a few vague points and characters from the book but the overall story line was completely new - almost nothing of the book remained, I mean, Hades showing up at camp as a flaming gargoyle - what was that about?

I really don't quite get why this harmless fantasy adventure film has caused such annoyance. I admit that I've never read the Rick Riordan books, but this all-star adaptation combining a collection of ancient Greek myths and mythologicals is an enjoyable enough little tale.

I haven't read the books, which judging from other people's reviews only furthers the disappointment of this poor film.In my opinion every decent film starts with a good script, by that rationale most of this film should never have made it to the screen.

Last summer I read all of the Harry Potter books with my kids and after each book we watched the movies and we loved the fact that mostly the movies stayed very close to the books. I wish I could say that about the Percy Jackson film (we haven't seen the second yet so I will reserve opinion there.

I'm glad I did watch first, read later. The book would have made a much better movie than the movie that Chris Columbus made.

While attending a theatre I saw the trailer for the new Percy Jackson and I was attracted towards the trailer so it was time to pick up the first flick about Percy. I was stunned by the effects and the story looked great.

I read this book at least 20 times before the movie came out, and I fell in love with it! I was never interested in Greek mythology until Percy Jackson.

Percy Jackson (Logan Lerman) has trouble with school. His stepfather is a jerk.
