When Aaron and Abe are in the kitchen and Aaron is wiping blood from his ear, the camera crew's reflection can be seen in the oven door.

Also a microphone is visible from below and between them.

During numerous takes the director, 'Shane Carruth' (qv), mutters "cut" under his breath.

According to the DVD commentary, this is due to their extremely low budget which did not allow them to "waste" film.

Carruth notes that a total of 80 minutes of footage was shot; the final film is 78 minutes.

Boom shadow is visible on the truck door when Abe and Aaron are at the gas station.

When Aaron and Will are talking on the basketball court, a boom shadow is visible on Will's shoulder.

When Abe and Aaron are in the walk-in freezer at the university lab, at the end of the scene, the knee of a crew member holding the mike is visible when they walk out the door.

In the scene where Abe is about to reveal to Aaron how the time manipulator works, they are standing in front of the white truck.

The 4 way hazard blinkers are blinking then the camera cuts to another one.

At that point, the blinkers are off.

Then they are on again with the third camera change.

Ever get that feeling when you walk out of a movie and have no idea what happened in it, but still kind of liked it? Maybe 'Inception' left you feeling that way, or 'Donnie Darko'.

Yes I get it. No I still don't like it.

Shane Carruth is an interesting director. I can't call him a great one, but an interesting one.

"Primer" is often praised for its clever, convoluted plot that you'll have to watch several times to truly figure out. This is a myth, though, since if you pay close attention and ignore the film's many irrelevant details and scenes, the plot is a pretty simple tale of a guy going back in time, making a mistake, then going back in time again and fixing that mistake.

What a waste of time of a movie. I like time travel movies but this one never takes off could not finish movie after 20 min in.

Concept is really great. But low budget and no special scene or briefing about the facts they are talking makes the movie boring for 2020.

Primer is a 2004 indie film that was wildly successful and made over $400,000 with a $7000 budget. It's basically a hardcore sci-fi time travel film that doesn't dumb it down for audiences, it goes full on mathematics, physics, and the dialogue consists of real engineering shorthand.

I attempted to watch this movie twice, and the second time I watched it fully, but no luck: i could only understand about 20% (or less) of the plot. The actors were talking too fast, often two or more at the same time.
