Wires visible several times when Pumpkinhead picks up Bunt by his leg.

When Pumpkinhead drops Joel, there's no gun barrel protruding from his back.

Additionally, the gun stock flops around like it's made of rubber.

In the scene where Ed Harley is attacked by a dog while confronting Pumpkinhead, the dog changes which arm he is biting without notice.

After Ed Harley shakes off the dog that's biting his arm, you can see an obvious shield under his sleeve where the dog had latched on.

In the scene where Pumpkinhead is entering the burned out church, he takes several steps where you can clearly see that he's wearing Nike shoes.

When Steve is lying dead on the cabin floor just before he is covered up by his brother Joel you can see his eyes moving.

When Haggis the witch cuts Ed Harley's hand to draw blood for the resurrection of Pumpkinhead you can clearly see the blood running from behind the knife and onto Ed's hand, and not out of Ed's hand itself.

When Ed picks up the unconscious Billy after the accident, the kid's arms are around his neck as he walks away.

When it cuts to the front view, the arms are down by Billy's sides.

When Ed picks up the unconscious Billy after the accident, you can clearly see the kid's left arm move as it goes around Ed's neck.

When the old woman is resurrecting Pumpkinhead, she cuts Billy's wrist or hand and blood trickles out.

As he has been dead for several hours, this would be impossible.

Who talked Lance Henriksen into doing this chunk of excrement? House payment?

Man and boy out in yokel town boys meets cool grown up young adults who have motorbikes boy gets killed in an accident man goes to witch to summon vengeful demon monster to kill the bikers man sees the error of his ways. With claws dug firmly into an American urban legend, first time director Stan Winston's 1988 film stars cult icon Lance Henriksen, and a few other mostly forgettable people.

Country bumpkin gets his revenge in "Pumpkinhead." In creature/special-effects wizard Stan Winston's directorial debut, Lance Henriksen ("Aliens," "The Terminator") plays a loving father in the backwoods of rural America.

Pumpkinhead is a slightly better than average horror movie with great acting from one cast member, Lance Henriksen. Using a folk tale myth is a good idea, but aside from that, there is little originality.

"Pumpkin head" is considered a small horror movie classic . Inspired by poem this movie was quite successful and even had a few sequels.

Growing up in the nineties, when Pumpkinhead was deemed iconic enough to stand alongside Michael Myers and Norman Bates, the film garnered something of a status as one of those great 1980s horror films. Since then, attempts to launch the movie into a franchise have fizzled out and the movie is now more regarded as a minor cult classic of the era, not that well-known outside of the horror fandom.

Cheesy not in a good way! Hey Pumpkinhead has all the ingredients of a 80's horror flick.

Watching this again in 2020, having seen it several times over the years, this 32 year old film certainly holds it's own against much of what is produced today. The people behind this understood how to make horror, to keep the monster somewhat in darkness, how to stir your emotions and create real atmosphere.

I saw Pumpkinhead when I was a teenager and, while impressed by the effects and atmosphere, felt it lacking in any resonance at the time. Recently, I saw it was available on Netflix and, having little to do one evening, watched it.
