When Terri and Jay are talking at the water fountain, in the close up shots, Terri has her arms on either her bag or across her chest but in the far away shots, her hand are down by her side.

They keep switching in and out.

When Teri enters the auditorium to listen to Jay composing a song on the piano, he is embarrassed and gathers up the sheet music into a pile and lays it down, presumably flat.

Teri turns to walk away, and Jay sits down at the piano again, trying to get her to stay.

In the first shot of the background, there is no sheet music on the piano.

The next shot back to him, the sheet music appears, and he refernces it with a gesture.

When Terri walks in on Jay writing a song he closes the piano in embarrassment.

When she talks him into playing what he wrote he turns to the piano, which is now open.

When Terri is talking to her aunt after the graduation party, the wire from her microphone is seen hanging out of her tracksuit jacket when she sits down on the picninc table.

Lips and instruments are out of sync in several scenes throughout the movie.

When Terri, Jay, Kiwi, and Sloane sing "The Way you do the Things You Do", Terri sings alone at first.

She stops to pull her friends in, but when we hear her resume singing, her mouth is closed for an entire line of the song.

When Sloan is practicing on a digital piano and her teacher is encouraging her, she is playing everything at the right time but none of the notes she plays are even close to what the audience is hearing.

When Jay comes to Terri's room drunk, Jay falls to the floor and Terri kneels beside him.

Someone tells them to keep quite and Jay raises up and yells something back, then, when the camera angle changes again, Jay is once again kneeling with Terri next to him When Terri is dancing with Jay, her arm switches which side it is up on when the camera changes positions.

When Terry first arrives at school and the doors locked she looks through the door for someone, when she's doing this you can see the reflection of Jay in the window, even though he is supposed to be coming around the corner inside.

At the end of the movie when everyone is singing alone to Terri's song, Sloan is directly behind Terri's dad, but in subsequent shots they swap places several times.

On the last day of school, Terri's brother Paul, films Terri and Lauren walking home, yet the screen of Paul's camera is blank.

During Terry's performance for the scholarship the mike repeatedly switches from her left hand to her right hand between shots.

When Terri and Jay are rehearsing the song that they're writing, as the camera changes angles, you can see its shadow.

When Terri is singing her song for the scholarship, her hands switch back and forth from on her sides, at her stomach, in the air, etc.

throughout the entire song.

The microphone also switches hands.

When Kiwi is telling Jay and Terri how he feels that Sloane "yanked" his heart, we see a shot of Sloane wearing a black sweatshirt as Kiwi is telling them the story.

After Kiwi says "Kiwi seal of approval.

", Terri goes to the practice room to introduce herself to Sloane.

In the practice room, Sloane is wearing a sweater.

When Terri is sitting on the picnic table at Paul's graduation party, when Paul is walking up, her arms go from crossed, to one up by her face, to crossed again between shots.

Sloane's hair changes in front of her face throughout different shots as she's yelling at Kiwi for being so loud.

When Jay wakes up Terri and Denise, Terri jumps out of bed fully dressed with her trainers on.

During the final performance of Terri and Jay just before the drum solo Terri is stage left.

The very next time we see Terri she is stage right.

I used to like hilary duff as a child but the older I got I couldn't stand her. this movie was OK.

This movie was so bad I couldn't help but laugh throughout. It was boring and I have no idea what they did with Hilary's voice, but it was awful.

Terri Fletcher (Hilary Duff) has a lovely singing voice who wants desperately to get into Bristol Hillman Music Conservatory in LA for the summer. Her brother secretly submits a DVD to the school.

ENJOY...POSITIVES-1)Hilary Duff trying to escape the Lizzie McGuire trap2)Kat Denning(Sloan), by far the most interesting character in the film3)Dana Davis(Denise), for being the sole African American influence with a somewhat major part, even if it was the typical loud-mouth black chick4)Rebecca De Mornay, always great to see the insane nanny from The Hand That Rocks The CradleNEGATIVES-1)Hilary Duff choosing this film as a means to escape the Lizzie McGuire trap2)Duff's attempt to sound, shall we say...

This movie is about as cliché as they get: A girl wants to go to a music camp, but her father refuses to let her go. Her brother dies in a car accident.

Omg! i thought that Raise Your Voice was so good.

The title is called "Raise Your Voice", so naturally, this movie is going to be about singing. Not only is this movie predictable, boring, and ordinary, but they decided to choose an actress who can't act or sing.

Omg!!! i absolutely love this movie!!!

I'm so sorry to see so much negativity about this movie. It's apparent to me that people that don't see the value of it, just plainly don't like Hilary Duff.
