When Billy shoots his rifle in the air by the burning hay barn, the gunshots make a sound as if the bullets are ricocheting off of something.

But when you shoot in the air, there is nothing to ricochet off of.

Near the end when Shane is going to ride Betsy after unsuccessful screwdriver engine ignition attempt, his nose is cleanly seen with no blood or any harm done.

Old Bill was holding his jacket in his arm when he exited the Town Hall building (with Cooper chasing him behind).

In the next shot outside the building, Old Bill was already wearing the jacket which is neatly tucked.

Betsy (the horse) was left at the police station when Cooper returned from Gleason's farm and Cooper drove a police vehicle to Skins Creek Road.

Assuming that Jimmy took Betsy, Betsy would have been left at the Main Street.

But Betsy was found by Cooper outside the barn after he freed himself from the handcuffs.

When Shane enters the town hall he looks to the stage - the scene already shows him sitting in the chair near the back.

Shane Cooper (Ryan Kwanten) moves to the sleepy rural town of Red Hill with his pregnant wife Alice (Claire van der Boom). It's his first day as a local cop.

I'm not really into Western type action movies but I go to say, I really did enjoy Red Hill. The story was kind of unexpected though a little obvious towards the middle of the actual plot.

I tried to like this film but it requires too much suspension of disbelief. First and foremost the lead character "Shayne" survives falling off a cliff and ends up with innumerable injuries.

SPOILERS SPOILERS First, I would like to say 2 things: - I really love revenge movies. I really do.

Red Hill is written and directed by Patrick Hughes. It stars Ryan Kwanten, Steve Bisley, Tom E.

It starts off as though it's going to be a good thriller involving the mental town locals but then turns out to be a classic revenge thriller. Classic might sound as though I am praising it, trust me I'm not.

Despite its setting in the modern Australian outback, Red Hill is essentially a Western. Ryan Kwanten plans Shane Cooper a young police constable (~ deputy) newly arrived to a small town from the big city with his pregnant wife.

RED HILL is a pretty decent Australian movie that will win no awards for originality but which tells its story in a straightforward and effective manner. I have to say that I do enjoy watching these Aussie outings as they're a breath of fresh air in comparison to more traditional Hollywood fare.

RED HILL – CATCH IT ( B+ ) Red Hill is a very engaging Western Style Australian Thriller. The movie keeps me on my toes with chilling unexpected action sequences & Ryan Kwanten.
