In the fight between Rocky Balboa and Mason "The Line" Dixon, the bleeding cut under Rocky Balboa's right eye disappears and reappears several times.

While Rocky goes out to the alley to talk with Paulie, his polo collar is folded up against the jacket.

When he re-enters the restaurant, his collar is back down, even before he adjusts the coat.

A gold chain around Marie's neck appears and disappears several times during a long exchange between herself and Rocky outside of her row house.

When Rocky, Jr.

's boss meets Rocky, his mouth doesn't match what he's saying in one shot.

Right before the main event, the channel that is presenting the fight between Balboa and Dixon throws up some stats for the two fighters on the screen.

The headshot they use for Rocky is taken from the upcoming fight that Rocky has not yet fought in.

When Mason Dixon is announced as the winner, you can see Rocky's trainer, Duke, in the left lower corner of the ring.

Rocky has already hugged Duke as he has headed into the tunnel.

In the montage for Mason before the fight, you can see "Tarver" on his trunks in at least one of the clips.

Antonio Tarver is the name of the boxer who played Mason.

The shadow of a microphone is visible on Rocky's red T-shirt when goes outside from restaurant talk to Rocky Jr.

At the end of round two, when the bell rings, Rocky's trainer Duke jumps through the ropes and falls into the ring.

The towel on his shoulder hangs on the ropes.

The next scene showing Rocky in his corner has Duke going through the ropes again with the towel still on his shoulder.

When Rocky gives little Marie a ride home, it shows him getting in the van and the van automatically starts, his hand never goes to the ignition to put the key in.

Then when he gets out to go talk to the drunk, it shows him turning van off.

Paulie and Rocky watch a story about the 'computer fight' at Rocky's restaurant.

The show is ESPN's 'COLD PIZZA', a morning show.

Yet the scene takes place at night, when the show wouldn't be on.

When Rocky and Marie was walking toward the van from the bar, the van is parked about a quarter of a block away from the bar.

After Rocky come back from confronting with the drunk, the van is parked on the corner and blocking the crosswalk.

At the conclusion, in the first round of the main event, the announcer states Rocky lands 9 of 13 punches, but he clearly throws more, roughly 30 punches thrown and he lands roughly 25.

When Rocky is talking to Paulie in the restaurant about the simulated fight, the bottle on the bar changes from one with a black label on the neck, to one with a blue label on the neck, back to black, then back to blue.

- PLOTWhen Rocky Fights Dixon it shows his record as 57-23-1.

He was 44-20 going into his first match with Apollo.

He lost to Apollo, then beat him, then had 10 title defense victories.

His record at that point was 55-21.

After splitting with Clubber Lang he was 56-22.

One more fight against Drago makes 57-22.

The draw could have been the fight with Thunderlips in Rocky III, but where did the additional defeat come from? When Rocky applied for a boxing license in _Rocky V (1990)_ (qv), he was denied, as the doctors stated he had irreversible brain damage.

In this movie, according to the licensing board, Rocky passed all of his medical exams with "flying colors.

" They cannot both be correct at the same time.

However, 'Sylvester Stallone' (qv) has addressed this in interviews, stating that the standards of acceptable health for boxing could have changed over time - and Rocky IS completely fit by modern standards.

Additionally, he never got a second opinion and yielded to Adrian's advice to quit to protect his health.

During the scene when Steps is looking over Rocky's collection of championships and photos, it has title belts on the wall that Rocky never actually won in his career.

However, 16 years have passed between _Rocky V (1990)_ (qv) and this film (in which we don't see the events), and it is entirely possible that, in the time between films, Rocky managed additional fighters and THEY won the awards in question.

When you compare the opening scene in the cemetery and the closing scene in the cemetery Adrian's tombstone has moved to a different location.

When rocky is training at the end and is punching the air with his fists, you can hear someone say 'Go Rambo'.

Another Rocky movie is definitely a long shot, to say the least. Stallone came out with a new Rocky movie and a new Rambo movie pretty close to each other, so it's pretty easy to assume that he's having career trouble and desperate for a couple of new hits.

Sylvester Stallone returns for the last time as star, writer, and director of this sixth and(hopefully) last chapter in the "Rocky" saga.Story has Rocky being challenged by the current heavyweight champion after he is shown losing a computer simulated fight to Rocky, which naturally he finds embarrassing.

This film is better than Rocky III, IV and V in my opinion. Just from a filmmaking standpoint this film easily beats IV and V and just edges out III for me.

"Mason Dixon" (Antonio Tarver) is the current heavyweight champion of the world yet because he has been so dominant there aren't any contenders worthy enough to fight against him. "Rocky Balboa" (Sylvester Stallone) on the other hand has been retired for a long time but still believes he has one good fight left in him.

My biggest flaw with Rocky Balboa, and the reason I could not get into it like I did with all the previous films, was that a) it is somehow even more implausible than Rocky ending the Cold War (more on that later) and b) I don't understand how Rocky suddenly became such old news in this universe. In real life, a society where the fictional Rocky Balboa is synonymous with sporting prowess, we're expected to believe that the real life Balboa has not only been forgotten, but is now derided across the board.

If you are a film buff you know for example that Bogey did a number of films especially late in his career which, while not exactly Maltese Falcon, were nonetheless solid and entertaining. So that is the key to this film.

You know I am actually beginning to enjoy writing reviews and to be honest I feel that this movie just needs as many reviews as it can get because it is an excellent finisher to the series after number 5. It's funny but I knew what was going to happen in this movie before they wrote it as it's the final (clue here not called Rocky 6 but Rocky Balboa).

This is for all those that are YET to watch this movie.I have always been a big fan of Rocky.

...Ok...
