I settled on 'Run All Night' as a late night movie when I was pretty exhausted and not looking for something too complicated and it was absolutely perfect for it! Solid action, and a story line with reasonable depth make it an easy watch and the scenes between Liam Neeson and Ed Harris are seriously enjoyable.

Great actors, great action doesn't save this unbelievable mish mash of a dozen other gangster movie cliché . Ed Harris replays his fine role as the Hell's Kitchen chieftain "Frank" from the 1990 State of Grace, just he's in the wrong movie trilogy.

The movie is really underrated.

Run All Night is an exciting action packed thriller starring Liam Neeson, and Ed Harris.Jimmy Conlon( Liam Neeson) is a former Irish mob enforcer who used to work for Shawn McGuire( Ed Harris).

As an action film, this fills the bill except for being totally unbelievable. A man can't go from being a drunk to being a competent shooter and driver within a few hours.

Jimmy was a mob hit-man, who was best friends with his boss Sean Maguire. But when Jimmy's son, Michael, is marked for death by the mob, Jimmy must go up against Sean to protect Michael at all costs.

This is one of the less egregious episodes of the "Liam Neeson Defends His Family" saga. Though my standards are now set low for most of Neeson's silly action flicks, I am always pleasantly surprised when they turn out to be not dreadful.

A little bit formulaic but overall this movie was enjoyable. It was just nice to watch something post 2015 that did not have any "woke" elements to it.

Former hit-man Jimmy Conlon (Liam Neeson) finds himself on a collision course with mob boss and former employer Shawn Maguire (Ed Harris) after he kills Shawn's son Danny Maguire (Boyd Holbrook) when Danny attempts to shoot Jimmy's son Mike (Joel Kinnaman). Jimmy and Mike's father/son relationship is poor, but the two men find they must put their differences aside and work together to try to stay one step ahead of Shawn and his mob who are seeking vengeance against the two men.
