When Kenneth and Darius are at the camp and Darius asks what kind of musical instrument Kenneth has, he responds that the instrument is a zither.

The instrument they are using is a mountain, or Appalachian, dulcimer.

Mountain dulcimers do fall into the general zither category, but typically when people refer to zithers they mean instruments that have shorter scale lengths and many more strings, or courses, than mountain dulcimers.

Calling a dulcimer a zither is like calling a viola or cello a violin simply because they fall into the general "violin family" category.

When Kenneth picks up Darius on the beach at sunset and makes a wide, sweeping circle in the sand with the van, it's obvious from the tire tracks that they have rehearsed the scene at least once before.

When Darius is backing up the van to pick up Kenneth during the laser robbery, it is obviously a shot of the van driving forward (used a few shots later), but run backwards - exhaust goes into the tailpipe.

When Jeff is giving Arnau the get-lucky pep talk outside the motel room Arnau's collar is down/up/down between shots before Jeff actually turns it up after giving him his sunglasses.

Decided to give this movie a shot and it didn't disappoint.

Darius (Aubrey Plaza) is a young intern at a Seattle-based magazine. She jumps at the chance to investigate a classified ad titled Safety Not Guaranteed seeking someone to travel back in time with.

I'm not rating it a 9 or 10 because it's not apocalypse now or the good the bad and the ugly.First of all if you're expecting a time travel epic don't look here, you should know better once checking out the cast and reading Aubrey plaza's name.

Safety not Guaranteed ReviewSafety Not Guaranteed is a mixture of different and unique genres including Drama, Comedy, Romance and even a touch of Sci-Fi thrown into the later portion of the movie. The movie tells a story about, love, regret and believing in your dreams to achieve what you want.

Delightful indie comedy, courtesy of newbie director Colin Trevorrow, is first and foremost an ode to all the outcasts that don't follow society's expected patterns of social integration but prefer to stick to being themselves. Aubrey Plaza stars as the witty intern Darius, a young woman who has always had a hard time fitting in or making friends, and as such is relegated to do all the dirty jobs at the magazine publisher she works for, until she jumps at the chance to show her employers she can do more than refilling toilet paper.

Well acted, well written. All the characters were great.

Great performance from the whole cast has a quirkiness to it you just don't get with big Hollywood films that makes this the independent gem that it is. Perfectly paced with the right twists and just enough laughs it truly was a pleasure to watch.

I always rip time travel movies because they always get it wrong. The problem with the time travel movies, like Back to the Future, is that they aren't taking in to account that time travel back in time might allow you to do something over again, but your changes won't change the future for the people you left in the future.

In the film Darius and Jeff are forced to confront their lifestyles and conceptions about people/relationships when they meet Kenneth and Liz respectively. Darius discovers a love of adventure and a sense of compassion through getting to know Kenneth while helping him with a time travel mission.
