During Dodge & Penny's back-to-back dialog in jail, the position of their heads change position, especially Dodge's, either between the bars of the cell or directly in-line with a bar.

When Dodge and Penny get in the Smart car lent to them by Speck the radio is tuned to 107.

2 - US stations are spaced 200khz on odd frequencies.

A correct frequency would have been 107.

1 or 107.

When Dodge is listening to the LP record and the power goes out you can hear the audio as the record slows down.

The audio should have gone off immediately with the small receiver shown.

There are no ocean beaches at the base of cliffs, like the one Penny and Dodge visit, in the New Jersey / Delaware region.

The movie is supposed to be set on the east coast of the US but it is clearly being shot in California.

When Dodge and Penny go to Olivia's house, Penny breaks the window.

They then enter the house, and you can see the window in the background, unbroken.

Then a few seconds later, another shot occurs and the window is broken again.

Dodge pulls out the vinyl album "Scott", Scott Walker's first solo album.

He takes record out of sleeve puts it on turntable but "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore" plays.

This was by The Walker Brothers and was not on the album in question.

Additionally, the following song that plays "Stay With Me Baby" does not appear on the album "Scott.

" Nor does it appear on the album "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore.

" The two tracks only appear together on later released compilation albums.

The bullet hole in the truck windshield moves between scenes and shots.

When Penny and Dodge are sitting at the table in Olivia's house, Penny's arm changes position inconsistently between shots.

This is supposed to take place in NJ, but when they go to Camden, they show a very suburban, upper middle class area.

Camden NJ is totally urban, and one of the poorest and most crime ridden cities in the US.

Dodge's cleaning lady is at his home on the day the asteroid is going to hit.

She says it's a Thursday, and yet the news announcer tells everyone to set their clocks forward that night for Daylight Saving Time - which always happens on a Saturday night/Sunday morning.

When Dodge is driving the truck, the gear shift is still in Park.

When Dodge's dad's plane flies away the lights are shown as red on the left and green on the right.

The red and green navigation lights for boats and aircraft only shine forward.

There is a single white light you see if you are looking at a boat or airplane that is facing away from you.

The only way you could see the red light on the left and green on the right is if the plane was flying toward you and it was inverted (upside down).

There is also a red light in the middle which is supposed to be the rotating beacon.

The rotating beacon is steady (not blinking as it rotates around), but you could argue that it is just broken.

The plane Dodge loads a sleeping Penny into is a Cessna 2-seater (either a 152 or a 150).

Both models have a max range of around 400 miles.

Neither would make it to England from anywhere on the east coast of the US.

An asteroid is coming to destroy the world. Dodge (Steve Carell) is left alone when his wife bolts out of their car and runs away from him.

This movie rides a fine line, asking the viewer to decide for themselves what is authentic and what is absurd. Would you be content with escape, denial or empty coping mechanisms if you knew there was no point, no future?

Very disappointing movie. After the first 20 minutes I was literally falling asleep and had to come back to the movie after take a long break.

This movie has been done in theme in a lot of movies as comedy and drama. It seems to be a popular movie subject to do as to me this one has a mood like the world is on Prozac and everybody is going to accept their fate.

I may have seen on clip or short trailer for this film on television, it was obvious it was made and released because the incorrect prediction brought by the end of the Mayan calendar, that the world would end in 2012, I guess I just wanted to see if I agreed with the critics giving this good ratings. Basically Earth is doomed to come to the end following the failure of the space shuttle Deliverance mission to destroy the large asteroid named Matilda, so in three weeks humanity will be wiped out by this 70-mile-wide rock that will collide.

The movie script and the things that happen are all believable ...(well except Kiera with Carell) - I watched the movie for Kiera (and she carries him big time) but I'm afraid Carell continues to act like a wooden, nervous, slightly wrong type of character (that I get) but he hasn't displayed once in his career somebody who wasn't that.

This film wasn't simply a comedy, and I believe that was the most entertaining thing about it. It's the kind of movie that stays with you and makes you think about where you are in life.

It's a train wreck of a movie... In that you don't want to watch, but you can't look away.
