When Dr Sam Foster is counting Lila's bottle of Klonopin, it says "100 mg", but Klonopin is dispensed in.

5 mg pills.

During the chess game, the move "king's rook to e3" was announced.

In fact the rook was moved to e1.

The next move, "knight to c3, check," didn't put the king in check and Sam didn't move the knight there.

When Sam is talking to Dr.

Ren about Henry's decision to commit suicide, Ren's beard changes length between each camera shot, inside and out of the hospital.

Many times throughout the film when an emergency siren is heard, the siren is not the shrill US siren, but an obvious European style siren.

All of the books in the "bookstore" that Dr.

Foster visits as he is trying to find Henry have library identification labels on their spines, revealing that the scene was actually shot in a public library (the 58th Street branch of the New York Public library in Manhattan, as it turns out).

When the end credit music begins, the subtitles say "woman singing," but the voice is of 'Damien Rice' (qv), an Irish man.

Because of the nature of the film, various suggested "continuity goofs" are in fact intentional.

The answering machine in Henry's apartment has "Digital Answering Machine" printed on it yet when the new message is played it sounds like a cassette tape rewinding before the message is actually played.

Digital answering machines do not have tapes to rewind so there should be no taped rewinding sound.

Promising art student Ryan Gosling (as Henry Letham) becomes suicidal, after a fatal car accident, on what looks like New York's Brooklyn Bridge. Mr.

There is only one way to describe Stay, it is a masterpiece that so utterly fools you that you may come away not even knowing what it all was. Stay is a brilliant story that in the end boils down to being only a few seconds of actual story progression.

I just saw this movie 15 years late..beautiful images, great actors, great effects for 2005..

To die on your way to Brooklyn: it happens I guess. This film reminds me a lot of the supernatural thrillers "The Sixth Sense", "Donnie Darko" and of "Memento", all three of which are somewhat better films.

An utter mess-- did I miss something? Because this was truly a mediocre film experience.

The acting, the plot, the characters and also the film recording is pretty good. i loved this movie.

"Stay" is an amazing production. It is beautifully shot, and its direction and casting are stellar.

If you spend the time to watch this movie from beginning to end, hoping for a brilliant resolution to an extremely layered plot, you will be disappointed. I found this movie completely vapid, after promising to be brilliant.
