When Brennan is singing at the Wine Mixer, he holds a note that shatters the glass helicopter sculpture.

At the end of the song, when his mom and stepdad are smiling, the sculpture is intact in the background.

During the first dinner scene, the ketchup bottle goes from top to bottom and back between shots.

During the school yard fight at the end of the movie, the "students" are clearly much older stunt doubles.

During the Christmas scene, Robert eats a tree-shaped cookie while drinking.

When he gets up to leave, the cookie is whole again.

During Brennan's song at the Catalina Wine Festival, the drums don't match up with what Dale is playing several times.

After the drive home following the Prestige Worldwide presentation, the boys burst into the house.

A crew member in black clothing, trying to stay out of the shot, is reflected in a mirror beside the main entry door.

In the treehouse, Derek tells Brennan and Dale that he "hasn't had a carb since 2004.

" In the dinner scene just before that, he drank a Heineken.

Beer is mostly carbohydrates.

When Brennan is showing Dale how good a singer he is, a samurai sword is on the floor between them.

When Brennan stops singing and stands up, the camera angle changes.

When it goes back to Dale, the sword is gone.

When the two brothers are on the boat, we can clearly see the reflection of the camera in the polished metal arm under the wheel of the boat.

Right before the brothers meet the schoolyard bullies, one scene shows them already meeting the bullies face-to-face, while the next shot shows them still walking there.

During the scene where Dale asks Brennan if he touched his drum set, Brennan holds the remote with his left hand - the camera angle changes we see Brennan holding the remote with his right hand.

In the treehouse, the magazine in Brennan's hand disappears and reappears between shots.

As Derek and his family sing "Sweet Child of Mine," Derek's audio track is clearly off as Tommy sings his solo, especially in the shot of Derek and Alice as the camera pans back to Tommy.

In the treehouse, Derek puts his beer down on the floor.

In the next shot, he is holding his beer again.

In the shot after that, Derek shows his hands, with no beer.

At the Wine Mixer, Dale plays drum rolls with yarn mallets, but it sounds like he's using drum sticks.

Performing a drum roll with mallets would sound very different, and be a lot more difficult.

Brennan rubs his testicles on the drum set.

When Dale knocks him to the floor, Brennan's testicles are still out.

When he is fighting Brennan, his pants are zipped up.

When Robert and Nancy say "No television for a week" Brennan throws his ice pack down in one view and Nancy says, "We are so serious," Brennan throws the ice pack down again.

When Brennan is eating the special sauce, some is spilled on the side of the bowl.

When there is a different shot, the special sauce is not spilled on the side of the bowl.

When they are eating Christmas dinner Alice takes off her wedding ring, but when she is in the other room with Dale her wedding ring is back on.

During Christmas dinner, Tiffany shares that she was given a pearl necklace for Christmas.

During the singing scene in the car, the same necklace can be seen on Tiffany's neck.

When Brennan is showing Dale the samurai sword with 'Randy Jackson (II)' (qv)'s autograph hiss hands change position between shots.

When Brennan is facing the camera he has both hands on it.

During the shot over his shoulder he only has one hand on the sword.

During the scene where Robert and Nancy are in the bedroom after he gets back from the Cheesecake Factory, a crew member's shadow is cast across Robert just as he is about to sit down.

When Dale and Brennan are throwing Christmas presents while sleepwalking, only two smaller boxes land on the top of the bed.

When they come back for round two, there are several larger presents stacked up at the foot of the bed.

Brennan is in Randy's office asking to be given the task of the Catalina Wine Mixer.

Derek comes in and says to Randy, "Did you tell him the deal?", obviously making it clear he already knew that Brennan was given the job.

However, after hearing Brennan out, Derek then decides to give Brennan the job.

(In the DVD extras, this goof is explained because an alternate take (entitled "Catalina Heart Attack") shows Randy giving the job to Brennan without Brennan needing to ask for it, or repeat his request to Derek.

Then Derek comes in and says the same line.

) From the time when Brennan is hiding in the tree-house during dinner to when Robert is consoling Brennan after the bunk beds collapse, Brennan's shirt changes throughout the scenes between a solid, light blue shirt to a striped blue and white shirt.

This is most noticeable during the bunk-bed building scene and when Robert is consoling Brennan.

In the scene where Brendan and Dale ask their parents for permission to build a bunk bed, there is a wide shot of the room showing everybody, and in this Robert's hand are by his side.

In the next shot of Robert and Nancy, Robert's right hand is on his laptop.

When Dale is showing Brennan the house he says the house was built by General Custer in 1825.

Custer was born in 1839.

Brennan is 3 years older than Derek.

But in the flashback at the end, with the 2 brothers flying the kite, they appear to be the same size and around the same age.

During the first schoolyard showdown, we see the 3 main antagonists, 2 boys and a girl, walking towards Brennan and Dale.

As they approach, the girl is on the left, but when they arrive to confront the step-brothers, the girl is now to the right of the boys.

In the tree house scene there's a can over Derek's right shoulder that keeps changing positions while he's talking.

When Derrick is talking to Robert about selling the house and Nancy is by the sink/dishwasher, you can see Derrick's wife standing by the microwave, holding her glass of wine.

Then they cut to Nancy talking to them, you can see the microwave, there's no one there.

They cut back again to the guys, she's standing there again, and then back to Nancy and now Derrick's wife is standing by the dishwasher.

When Derek gets his golf club at the Prestige Worldwide premier, he say's he got a Callaway 3-wood, but in reality, he got a driver, which is a much larger golf club.

We learn at the beginning that Brennan is 39.

Later, during a bedroom scene with Dale and Nancy, we learn that Brennan was 17 when his brother, Derek, won a talent show by lip-synching "Ice Ice Baby.

" If the movie takes place in 2008, then the talent show was in 1986.

"Ice Ice Baby" was released in 1990.

In the car during the "Sweet Child O'Mine" scene Tommy is shown playing a PSP (Playstation Portable) he is also holding a stylus.

The PSP does not have a touch screen.

When Derek comes over for Christmas dinner, he mentions that he was driving around with his buddy in a "brand-new" Testarossa.

Ferrari stopped production of their Testarossa sports car in 1996, so Derek could not possibly be driving a brand new one.

This was a pretty good movie. It's something with John C.

Yet another movie about middle aged men acting like children. How original.

This was a very disappointing movie for me.the red band(restricted)trailer i saw made it seem very funny, raunchy and edgy.

My girlfriend has been wanting to watch this movie. I have already watched about half of it before but had walked out on it.

I haven't seen that many movies this year that were actually hilarious. Step Brothers came a long way and I had trouble to stop laughing at some points.

Step Brothers is definitely movie that doesn't take itself seriously. You can just see in the movie how John C.

How is this at 7/10? People over rate anything these days possibly the most boring film there's nothing in this expect for some very simple story not that funny too jeez people love anything these days.

I have to say that the Judd Apatow/Adam Mckay movies are taking a bit of a downward turn lately. I loved Anchorman, and this doesn't quite measure up.

This movie brings so much laughter. I mean it's about 2 guys who live with each other who constantly fight with so much anger and frustration.
